2/4 sucks, but its still better than 1/5.

Losing JJ really sucks and it could cost them being more competitive.

I wonder if Akers is going to get more playing time?

Granted it was The Bears, but the D is looking improved.

As I said, 11 games is a lot, fat lady aint singing yet.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

our O is just waay off.  horrible on 3rd down, turnovers, drops.  This team is not out of it, but they are nowhere near the O they were last year.

Akers has earned RB1 already.  Mattison is a mess with very inconsistent vision, hands and pass pro.

They really are and getting better without JJ seems like a pipe dream..

Interesting how the OL is playing better, but that isnt translating to better O overall.

I haven't looked at the stats, but TJH seems off this season to-date too. He dropped some key balls last week and isnt getting the targets I thought he would.

Watching the game today, I felt like the season was over and then remembered it was only the 6th game, we only won, because we played possibly the worst team in the league and may not have won if they didn't lose fields.  After watching the game today, there is no question that we are not a very good team.

No leadership by the QB. In the 4th qtr when the score was 19-6 there was absolutely no killer instinct to try to put the game away and the play calling is so bad that at times it feels like Zimmer is still the coach. And didn't we all know that they would let the Bears with an un-drafted rookie QB back in the game? When has conservative play calling ever worked out for us?

SF, Dallas and Philly are better than the Vikings.

Really hard to imagine that changing in 11 weeks.

They are a very strange and frustrating team this year. They've kept every game within a score, but have looked far from good doing it. I do think that Addison was a great find and while he can't replace Jefferson, he's proven to be a real nice red zone threat. Hockenson and Obsorn have both looked off and Mattison has not stepped up as the primary back. I'm not sure how much longer they can keep feeding him the ball for 2 yards a pop. We're also seeing more of the bad Cousins holding onto the ball for too long and turning the ball over, then we are seeing the good Cousins. Even with better OL play, he's still prone to a few boneheaded plays per game.

The D is getting better. They still struggle against the run, but they are aggressive, the pass rush is starting to show some flashes, and back to back games with defensive scores is nice. I still feel like the D doesn't quite have the personnel to pull off Flores's scheme, but that side of the ball seems better coached than the offense this year.

I'd say it will be 2-6 after the next two games.

Are they really that MUCH better though?   Had the Vikings not had the stupid fumbles at Philly they played right with them.   I don't know.

This Bears offense put a 40 burger on a decent Commanders defense on the road last week.   To hold them to 13 is pretty good performance

and the Bears D was the worst for keeping teams off the score board,  but our offense yesterday made them look legit,  this team is not close to being a competitor in their own division let alone mentioned with the best of the conference.

people like to say,  well if we hadnt fumbled here or we hadnt thrown this INT there,  but thats a foolish notion,  we have no idea how things early in the game would have affected the rest of the game,  Phillys play calling likely is situational, they take higher risks when needed which likely result in bigger gains,  but also the chance for turnovers of their own,  but considering how inept our D was to start the season,  its probably more likely they still win at home.

I think we are at the point where KOC needs to seriously consider brining in either a play calling OC, or a game manager to take the game day HC duties,  he just seems to not be able to handle both duties very well.  Kind of like KAM needs to bring in a draft/scouting specialist.

KOC says he can fix it.  I hope he is right, cause it has been broken.  Its almost like the O totally lost focus since they were really good last year.

I hate Philly as well.

I hate them even more after yesterday.  I had a 5 play parlay that everything hit on for $350 except the Eagles choked :)

Ever since they tried to evolve from 22 to 2023 with more heavy sets the offense is just "off."

the Vikings were also a -9 in turnover ratio going into the Bears game. So that is a huge problem - probably correlates the most with their having a losing record.

I agree with @Tyr, the defensive coaching seems just fine, the offense not so much. I'm not sure how much of it is scheme vs situational football vs players just playing mediocre.

I will be sad if Flores leaves in 24.

I am mostly ok with the defense,  we need better players, but I dont like seeing off coverage when you know you are going to blitz,  i have never understood a free release from the LOS when you are going to send more rushers ( leaving more holes for routes) if you are going to speed up the QBs process,  dont give his targets a free release to those vacated zones,  but the D is coming around.  definitely need to add a couple DTs that can create pressure in the QBs face without the need to send 5 and 6 guys.

Every team will have a few clunkers or some stretches where
winning isn’t smooth, but the Vikings haven’t played one good game yet.  I don’t think there’s a consolation prize for
hey, we looked pretty good except for all the times we had catastrophic failures.  We are clearly in the bottom tier of teams
despite having what should be adequate talent levels.  Other teams may not have the talent to pull
their heads out of their asses, and we do, but we still have our head up our
ass.
