We're all experiencing inflation, higher food costs especially.

In our hh, we have a budget. It covers all; food, insurance, cars, utilities, entertainment etc...

I'm really good about tracking the buckets of spend etc..My wife? not so good

I swear to god she thinks $ tree is in the back yard to shake-down when we need it.

How do you and your spouse/partner agree to track and spend? If you agree at all?

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Easy. Get rid of the partner. :-)

It's just me and the kids. But the cost of putting active twins through high school is ridiculous. And to think I was worried about the cost of diapers.

yeah.... we should be forgiving student loan debt.....  holy shit and the best part... they both work for the government in business and policy making.   yep, lets trust the government with more of our money and decisions.

Yeah, that must pose some challenges from time to time on a budget....I think you said you are officially retired, right PF? I don't think you are doing the car gig anymore either? So just retirement income now, correct?

I love my dear wife, she's put up with me since we tied the knot in 91. But she has NO SENSE of $$ and no desire to manage $$ either lol :p

Ha ha, I hear you. My wife is different that way, she's involved in all financial aspects. She's been a professional businessperson for a long time, so we see eye to eye on our finances and how we spend/invest. That is a blessing for sure. I can't think of many arguments in our entire marriage we've ever had over finances.
