OT: Is the world just getting too sensitive?

The uproar over this is borderline ridiculous imo...
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Getting?

What's to get upset about? I don't know the context or the supposed symbolism of the hand gesture...
In this case, the reaction wasn't the same. One was considered competitive and the other classless
It’s cool when she does it, but “classless” when the Black girl does it. Make that make sense, America. Go read a Jodi Picoult novel and light a candle, Doris. Congrats to LSU[‘s players only]. pic.twitter.com/LBz7onHc7L

Caitlin Clark chirping at Hailey Van Lith 👀 https://t.co/hFpHPlAhl6
The uproar over this one incident is stupid. Supposedly Clark was doing some trash talking and hand gestures in the SC game, which then gave license to another member not involved, from another team, showing up said player? In the NFL or college game of football there'e a rule against taunting after a hit or celebrating a TD. Can't hang on the rim after a dunk because it's showing off, but I guess it's ok to get in another player's face or use hand gestures. How is it not a rule in basketball? Now you have the race hustlers at ESPN smelling blood...It's not borderline ridiculous.

Okay, google is my friend. IMO, the Iowa coach should have put an immediate stop to this in the previous game plus have the player apologize publicly in the newspaper for lack of sportsmanship. Gotta nip things in the bud before in your face gestures become more common...
The answer is yes, the world has been oversensitized for some time now with everyone getting offended about everything. San Francisco is trying to make reparation payments of $5 million dollars a piece to any African American residents who's family tree has ties to slavery lol. Everything always seems to come back to race because it's always the fallback for certain politicians and race hustlers. That's what this picture seemed to be about is this LSU player didn't like certain gestures this white girl (Clark) who was torching everybody made in the prior game against South Carolina and wanted to rub her nose in it. Made some comment after the game about "standing up for people like me." It's the mentality of division being indoctrinated in schools, universities, Hollywood, etc. They want to continue dividing and playing the race card because it benefits their political narrative.

Well shit. My Irish ancestors were "indentured servants". I'm 1/8 Irish. Does that mean I only get 1/8th of $5M because I can certainly give them my bank details for the deposit.
Wouldn't San Francisco have more to do with Asian and Indigenous slaves then African American slaves? Its been awhile since my 5th grade history lessons....but I'm pretty sure California wasn't part of the Confederacy?
Social media is all about manufactured outrage. I don't give it any energy, but there are lots of people that seem to love to. If you choose not to care about this shit it loses all its energy. Don't apologize. Ricky Gervais said it best:

Fuck with their algorithms, read shit that you don't necessarily agree with and your feed will be all over the place, once in a while you will likely find good stuff you wouldn't normally get through their biased filter for you.

Thats exactly why i try and go to a couple of places on stories worthy of multiple views. The latest mass shooting last week was one of those. It never ceases to amaze how that story was told depending on agenda.
Caitlin (IA) "went there, first". Vs SC...at least what we see by tweet.
The LSU girl, clapped back.
Women's basketball, lmao.
Story staying-power needs a trans-infusion.

Personally, I would give LSU the team trophy for poor sportsmanship and Angel Reese would receive the individual poor sportsmanship award. Caitlin Clark would receive the runner up award.
Angel won the individual award due to her "two wrongs equal a right fallacy". LSU won the team award due to their failure to participate in the time honored handshake after a game.
My opinion, my votes. YVMV

Oops, should that have been sportspersonship or sportswomanship, or sportsthey/themship?

Silly error by Jill Biden to suggest breaking precedent...
Weird how athletes view a visit to the white house as a time for political/in your face posturing. Has been going on for while with multiple sports and both team blue & red...

I dont think this is as much political as it is race, but since they are all libs I doubt that aspect will get any traction.
i didnt want to start a new thread, but i wanted to ask, is it discrimination if I refuse to do business with somebody because I dont agree with their political views? can I be sued for not treating them the same as I would a more conservative person? what if that person is black or gay or what ever else passes as a minority now, can I be sued then, even though my objection isnt based on their minority status, just their political views?
Politics would be fair game, if you showed a pattern against protected groups, then you may have issues. Interesting that you want to refine your discrimination skills, guess it's what a person does when they have a fear of inclusion.
