Yeah I think dragging our feet cost us Nielsen. For as much as I like OConnell, I don't have much confidence in him on the defensive side of the football. His hiring of Donatell was atrocious. Anybody paying attention knew that going in. His insistence on playing this Fangio scheme is maddening as we don't have the personnel to run it or the coaching to teach the transition as it is still a transition. Virtually nothing was gained from out defensive floundering last season. We are starting all over again from square one....so he better pick the right guy this time, and IMO the best guy for the job just took the Falcons job. 

Dont worry gang, Im sure we will hear about how great “citizen X” will be at DC, “what they bring to the table” How they “fit with what we want to do here”.....

Maybe he wasn't the favorite to get the Vikes job. It's possible KOC and KAM came out of the interview less enamored the some on this site were.

If they have their focus on Evero as their top choice because of the KOC relationship, then they
are forced to wait out the remaining Head Coach openings he is a candidate for to see where they fall.
He has interviewed for all four of the open positions(Broncos, Cardinals, Colts, and Texans). Not sure
that any of those teams are ready to take a chance on him as he is a relative newcomer compared to the
more experienced candidates available. We will see but I have a feeling that is a big part of the lengthy
wait and see process they seem to be going through.

I knew Nielsen would be a long shot to be their guy because he's not a 3-4 coach and has zero experience under Fangio, which apparently is all KOC is hung up on. Let's just hire every fucking Broncos defensive coach until we get it right.

Just because something didn’t happen the way you wanted it to happen, doesn’t mean you know the how and why.

Kwesi shit on himself and didn't need anybody's help with that with his decisions. And just because something did happen doesn't mean it's the right decision either just because it played out that way. They fuck up another DC hire and can't get this defense and team off the ground again because they are married to this Fangio bullshit, then as far as I'm concerned, they can both can be in Fangio's current position...and that's unemployed at home.
