Honestly don't care. 98% of DC is corrupt. Would love nothing more than have the taxes of ALL House/Senate members, families up and down. The corruption is on both sides and it is deep. And we the people are those that pay our taxes and fund this BS.

I've got a friend that was just elected to SDs House, she is pretty conservative, but sees the corruption in our SD republican party, it will be interesting to see how well she can avoid getting run over by the machine.

Summary:
it’s more about money that has ALREADY been spent. So if the debt ceiling needs to be raised, it is because they need money to pay debts. Not raising it is the same as saying we will not find money to pay outstanding debt hence defaulting. Good luck with thatCutting spending is something that can (and should) be done during new legislature towards FUTURE initiatives.
Thus we can and should raise the debt ceiling to pay outstanding debts and ALSO lower future spending.
