honestly... I wouldnt have been surprised to see us an underdog in this one.  they have been playing better, and we have been.... well, winning ugly.

I dont see this game as anything close to a sure thing and wouldnt be surprised at all to get beat.

Detroit has been playing well and Amon-Ra St. Brown is the type of WR who gives our defensive scheme trouble.  We didn't pressure Goff much earlier this season and he was able to make plays against us.

Gonna be interesting to see if we do anything different from the first game to this matchup.

This will be our first 2nd game for us. And how effective our game plan is might give us some insight into how well (or not) we'll do in 2nd games against Philly and/or Dallas.

Yes, was thinking the same.  We will see what our coaching staff is made of in this game.

Seems to me we would have lost that first meeting if their coach had stayed agreesive and gone on 4th down.  We were not stopping them and they could of had us by the short hairs.

Jameson Williams will be playing as well...He and Hutchinson could end up being quite the cornerstone players for them. They'll probably take a QB this coming draft too.

Are you saying that Green Bay will be in third place for a while now? :)

The Lions might be more than just a spoilerWinners of four of their last five, the Lions (5-7) are looking like a dangerous team that could sneak into the postseason if they get the right breaks. In its last six, Detroit is averaging 28.2 points per game. The two losses in that span, by the way, came against the Dolphins and the Bills, and were by a combined seven points.
Against the Jaguars, the Lions relied on their offensive staple, the play-action pass, and Jared Goff (31-of-41 passing for 340 yards with two touchdowns) continued to play efficiently in the back half of the season.
He has an eight-to-one touchdown-to-interception ratio over Detroit’s last six games and his rapport with star young receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is fueling the offense. While the tie between the Giants and Commanders — the NFC’s sixth and seventh seeds, respectively — hurts the Lions, they’re just two games back of the final spot in the playoff race

Maybe they take a QB, or they stick with Goff who is 28 and ranked considerably higher than Cousins this year (who we can't live without) and put a dominant team around him.

NFL market moves are professional bettors taking a stance.

An example-- take a sports bettor's analytics-based power ranking like this https://unabated.com/nfl/ratings.  Now add 1.5-2 pts for hfa and you get Lions in the -1 to -2 range, or where the market is right now.

Wouldnt it be nice to wrap up the division this week?

These divisional road games are "throw the records out the window" type weeks. Never know whats going to happen.

Vegas is skittish about this one and Vegas almost always knows lol!

I was listening to some "pro" sports gamblers and they said the HFA points are pretty much gone now in the spread calculations.
