Bills waiting on travel details
League source on #Bills/ snow: "This is a major impact. There's currently a travel ban. Still waiting to hear on timing of today's zoom meeting...Snow is coming down hard right now. I don't know what's the contingency if everyone can't make it to the airport or we can't fly out."

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams
Kind of surprised they haven't already left for Detroit.

A State of Emergency and Travel Ban are now in effect for the City of Buffalo. Only authorized personnel are allowed to travel. Please stay off the roads at this time to allow snow plows and emergency vehicles to clear streets and respond to calls.

I’m just glad this happened this week instead of last week. Who knows what may have transpired at Ford Field considering travel delays. The visiting team’s normalcy gets messed up with this kind of thing, too.
The Buffalo airport just reopened. The task is if the players can get to the airport.

Lots of reports of Bills fans helping players get to the airport, awesome fan base there

who really cares about the Bills.
Bills players and coaches are currently boarding the plane to fly to Detroit for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns.

I've been to Detroit. If those fans really cared they'd leave the Bills snowed in and help them miss the plane. Just sayin'.
I've lived in snow country my whole life, but I can't fathom choosing to live in a place that regularly gets snow events that are measured in feet. Hats off to the people of western New York and other places that get lake effect snow, thats just insane.

But hey, the schools were open! In fact, I don't ever remember getting a snow day. Not once. On Thursday it snowed 3 inches in Denver. My kids were on a 2-hour delay. 3 inches!!
Which reminds me....once during a cold spell in Billings, we were not allowed to go outside for recess until it warmed up enough. I still remember the temperature on that balmy day it was finally warm enough: 11 degrees. LOL. Should I get my jacket?
But this 6 feet shit every couple of years. NFW.
The upper peninsula of Michigan can get a shitload of snow. Don't miss it.
We got 18” of snow in TN about a decade ago. It only lasted a day or two. I remember snowfalls in the 2ish feet range growing up in southern mn. I grew up on a dairy farm, so a day off school meant having to work vs sitting in a warm school.
The biggest single snow event i remember getting was around 3 feet in the early 80s, it came with our usual 30 to 50 mph winds and it made drifts that went completely over houses from one side of the street to the other. I hope I never see anything like that again in my life as I dont know how I would ever get my farm and road opened up without major help. We had one a couple years ago that left 8 foot drifts through my drive and that was miserable enough to get cleaned out.
Funny thing...one year down here in Tucson, Arizona we got 3" of snow on the ground and people were calling in a "Snow Day" at work. I thought "What the hell?" People were worried about driving in it, but by later afternoon it melted all away.

NW Indiana on Lake Michigan. Seems we used to get way more lake effect snow and when I was in school we’d get 1 or 2 days off a year.
Now, it looks like it might snow and they have an E Learning Day. I’m ok with that though. Really, as a parent, I’d rather my kids stayed home during bad weather than leave them in the hands of a part time bus driver or worse yet, their friends driving them to school.
I don’t think it’s about being soft or anything like that, I think they tend to be a little more cautious with the lives of our children.
