Not at all surprised. Tough sledding. But the Minnesota is right there. If they end up losing this game, its ok with me. Buffalo is very talented. But I see the fight in the Vikings, but they are still a work in progress. New system, new culture and I see the fight in them. Bodes well for the future and now. The defense is the true work in progress and I think next season you'll see that leap in effectiveness. Long kickoff return. INT. It happens.

I love this team's fire. No shame in losing to a great team on the road when you are 7-1. They are punching and swinging. I love it. This team can take it and dish it out. You know what this old timer thinks? They might be legit. Fuck it, love going for it on 4th down. Aggressive.

That 3rd and 4th and one is probably going to cost them the game. Absolute bullshit play calling and execution of what was called.

Big test for the team.  Defense outmatched against a great passing team, running team, and a gifted running QB.  Just like the Eagles.

They are really struggling to stop Allen and definitely can't win a shoot out.

And that's ok. The Vikings aren't the most talented team in the NFL, although they have talent. Plays are great only when they work. Josh Allen is an amazing player, no shame in getting bitch slapped a bit by him. New systems on both sides of the ball in Vikingland.

Wait and see this Viking's team NEXT year. Seriously. So they'll be 7-2 after losing to the AFC Super Bowl team. Ok, lol. They'll expose you. But yet Minnesota is full of fight but made some mistakes. I get it. Lets all get a grip here. Road game with the best team in the NFL maybe. Situational mastership doesn't mean a 100% win in strategy.

I get all that and didn't expect them to win today. Not over and I guess you can't count them out yet.

However, I really think the new systems excuse is starting to get old, this is their ninth game in these new systems.

They are.....7-1......before this game. Seriously. WTF did you expect? How has its a 'new systems excuse' gotten old???

Nothing personal, trust me when I say that.....but fans are dense. They can't see the forest for the trees. You didn't expect a win, yet you bash on this effort? lol.

Pro players have new systems to learn all the time. I just really think they're deep enough into the season to stop leaning on that.

Yes they are 7 - 1 and I have enjoyed that fact.

But they definitely have not looked good today. The Bills are shredding the defense and Cousins just looks really uncomfortable.

...and that happens. Every NFL QB looks 'uncomfortable' at times. So what do you want? I'm asking. Tell me what your expectations for this team are. I'm curious. Teams lose games exactly like Minnesota is doing it. That includes Buffalo, Tampa, KC, etc. Losses happen.

I'm with Sticky on this one.  Would you rather have your bad game when everything is against you, or versus, say, the Bears?

I see this team for what it is. We're 7-1 with the possibility of 1 of those wins against a team with a pulse (Dolphins). Yes, the team changed scheme on defense and maybe haven't been quite as run heavy on offense. Terminology was learned a couple months ago and shouldn't be an issue. As usual, we're a mediocre team in a very weak division.

Overall, I'm relieved we moved on from the old regime but we are in cap hell and don't have a lot of draft capitol next year. We have decisions to make with vets and don't know if we'll improve or get worse.

I never once said losses don't happen. Not once. I understand opinions other than yours are rarely acceptable.

Enjoy the rest of the game.

I think the degree of roster turnover next year will probably surprise most of us - but the cap is due to go up soon too.

7/1 under any circumstances is impressive, but it they're aint no trophies for it. I was hoping for something more competitive than where the score is at in the 3rd qtr.

This was going to be a tough game regardless - SB caliber team in their house. OTOH its going to fuel the narrative the Vikings aren't as good as their record.

Maybe they're right?

Now if we win against the Cowboys? The Jets, Giants & Pats? Those are all home games and that's a hell of a year right there. And one whopper of a year 1.
