You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams

I have this feeling come season's end, we'll need every W Minnesota can muster and every loss we can get from Green Bay.
October was a pretty perfect month for the Minnesota Vikings.
Not only did they go 4-0 — cementing an undefeated month with a victory over the Cardinals — the division around them fell apart, too. With the Packers losing to the Bills on Sunday night, each of the other three teams in the NFC North lost four games during October.
The Packers, who have lost four in a row, went 1-4. The Bears, who gave up 49 points in a loss to the Cowboys on Sunday, went 1-4. The Lions went 0-4.
Eight weeks into the 2022 season, the Vikings have a 3.5-game lead over both the Packers and Bears. They also have a tiebreaker over both teams, who they'll see on the road in January.
@"ArizonaViking" said:Wow....I could easily see 5-5 for the Vikings, putting us at 11-6, but neither the Packers or the Bears are going 8-1, not even close. What that means is it would take a major Vikings collapse for them not to win the NFC North this season. If Minnesota simply goes 5-5 in its final ten games, the Packers or Bears would have to go at least 8-1 in their final nine games to have a chance at a tiebreaker.
Something about counting chickens probably applies here but doesn't winning the division guarantee a home playoff game?

I hope neither of those season-ending, divisional road games are meaningful - but they will be.
Oh well, good teams find ways to win.

Quite likely we end up having the division taken care of by then. Its the seeding that will be whats at stake.
I dont think we want to laugh to loudly since we still have to face what currently looks like the strength of our schedule and could easily look just as bad in 2 weeks in buffalo
I thought GB looked pretty plucky the second 1/2. They just dont have the weapons (or OL) to go with Rogers and Jones. Plus some really bad throws by Allen kept it within even 10 pts.
I think GB will continue to improve as the year goes on - unless Rogers gets killed throwing the ball.
That said, its a good Sunday when the Vikings win and GB loses.
Lets see what the next 3 games bring...There is a lot of football left to play with 10 games to go.
GB stinks! Laugh and be merry!

@"JimmyinSD" said:That almost always is the case. Not sure that will be how it turns out this season, but I do think the race tightens up for sure.@"Vikergirl" said:I prefer to forgo the crow that comes from that approach.@"JimmyinSD" said: I dont think we want to laugh to loudly since we still have to face what currently looks like the strength of our schedule and could easily look just as bad in 2 weeks in buffalo The hell with that, I am living in the moment.
