Don't forget this part....
#Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell on Kirk Cousins play: "It's still four weeks into a new offensive system for him."

This guy will get better as well. I can see him waiting a half sec on routes before he pulls the trigger. That will get quicker.

the one question I have... then why didnt they have the O play any meaningful snaps in preseason? why not try and work out some of this new system fog when the games didnt count?

Because they were more concerned about year-changing injuries to key starters than getting more acclimated to a new offensive system. And I agree with that strategy. Then you coach your way to wins which is really mostly what has happened with the Vikings thus far....and then the talent kicks in. The baked in reason also is that you have a vet like Kirk Cousins who you know will learn the new system as quickly as anyone.

how many starters in the past were lost to preseason injuries? does it happen yes, but not enough to be a major concern when it comes to getting players ready for the season. if we are concerned for injury, perhaps they should get rid of contact in practice as well?
If they weren't 3/1 right now, I might be more in your corner on this one Jimmy...But since they are, I'm glad they didnt risk the starters (or stars) in August, meaningless games.

Yeah, it wouldn't take much work for the guys to make the practice and playbook that much more meaningful. What I want to know is when will KOC hit his stride? Seems like he has some growing to do as well.
