Or, it could just be out and out racism, right? I’ve been hearing that as the biggest reason for him not getting a gig to this point.
In all fairness, McCoy was on the downside of his career when he was in KC. They just made the decision to go with younger RBs.

I never bought into the hype, either. Mostly national sportswriters jumping on the 'hire the black guy' train.
McCoy is not a reliable source in general and couple that with the fact that he was inactive for both the AFC Championship and Super Bowl that year and he becomes a non-factor in the discussion.
