Day 2
Going to be very interesting to see where Minnesota goes with the second pick in Round 2. They couldn't possibly take a QB, could they? Andrew Booth will be there if Tampa doesn't take him.
Nakobe Dean? Trade down?
I think I'd like to see the board's reaction to a Malik Willis selection, lmao.

Some people just want to watch the world burn.
If we were going to grab Willis, we would have done that at 32 I think. You want that fifth year on a guy you project to be your Qi. We MAY get a couple of calls on 34, but hard to see us moving down again unless it’s a straight out trade for a next year no.1 along with a swap of other positioning. Picks in the second round.

If they wanted to draft Willis, they should have done it at 32 so they would get the 5th year (it is what they did with Teddy as you may recall). Reasonable to risk Cine being picked at 33 as Tampa doesn't need a safety and Cine was rated in the 40s as a prospect. So, if the Vikings pick Willis at 34 it would show a total misunderstanding as to how to approach the draft and the 5th year option on 1st round picks (though I would like the pick).

Lol. I said that last night. What if they drafted Willis. Made my people laugh.
Maybe Kwesi should call up the Jets at 38 and see if they want Dalvin and his contract? Snag Breece Hall with the pick
Here is something to consider -- what if Kwesi feels the criticism of his Day 1 performance and selects Mafe to make all you Minnesotans happier?
Booth, Mafe, Ebekitie,Gordon… This pick will likely make or break this draft based on Kwesi’s strategy
Gotta go Booth, which solidifies the DB's and then use the 2 3rds for a G and either WR or EDGE. After a questionable trade that would fill a lot of holes from Top 100.

@"mgobluevikes" said: Don't sleep on David Ojabo.Have heard that a lot too. Give us your opinion of him since you are a Michigan Fan. Is he just a one year wonder who benefitted from Hutch on the other side or could he be a solid NFL DE? I'll admit that the only Michigan games I really watched last year were BTCG vs Iowa where he didnt do much, OSU where he had a sack, and then MSU where he had a really good game.

What if we use our pick 66 and another to move back up into the 2nd round after picking at 34? In my mind, we want a few solid contributors with upside versus a bunch of projects or hope-so type players.
A bit raw, but a beast. Grew up in Scotland playing soccer and track. 4.55 40 Very high motor, relentless. Learned a lot from Hutchinson. He really came into his own this past year with 11 sacks and 12 TFL's. Needs a bit of tweaking to expand his repertoire, but has all the tools. Plays well from a stand up position has long arms, 81" wingspan, show s great bend and contorts his body to get through bigger guys. He also sets the edge pretty well. Get him on the other side of Hunter and it would be hectic. Before the achilles at his pro day, was easily a top 15 pick. With the injury, might not see him until late season, but appears to be in line for full recovery.

It's one of the few ways Kwesi can redeem himself from yesterday.

Nothing the FO has done so far this offseason suggests they’ll go after a player who won’t help much in 2022. I would not mind being wrong. There’s some good players available.

Just not sure they're where they'd feel comfortable taking a red shirt.
Achilles injuries are tough, it's not like an ACL. The only defensive lineman I can think of that's made a successful return and maintained his explosiveness is Terrell Suggs. For this reason I wouldn't take Ojabo with our second round pick. If he is still on the board in the 3rd round and the Vikings want to take a flyer on him with one of their picks at that point..go for it
NFL.com posted theor Day 2 Mock Draft and has the Vikings taking Logan Hall, John Metchie, and Jelani Woods. I'd be pretty happy with that.
