2022 Draft Rankings—Underrated/Overrated

PREDICTION
This draft will break a record for trades. Vikings will trade down and take Trent McDuffie. I want them to trade down big, get a 1st next year, and take Kaiir Elam. I’ve tried calling but Rick blocked my number in 2014. 
WHAT AM I MISSING
Kenny Pickett, QB - He’s Cousins 2.0. Not quite the arm strength, but accurate and much more mobile
RANKINGS

Corners:

1. Ahmad Gardner - Worry about his strength and in off coverage, big upside though
2. Derek Stingley Jr - Classic boom or bust. If Daronte signs off, I’ll like him more.
3. Trent McDuffie - Best all around corner in the draft. But upside is limited.
4. Kaiir Elam - Terrific in coverage, tackling problem maybe a little overstated
5. Andrew Booth, Jr - best open field tackler, but SO many injuries

Overrated: Ahmad Gardner - Great in press, Less great in off
Underrated: Coby Bryant - Poor man’s McDuffie
Edge:

1. Aiden Hutchinson - What’s not to like?
2. Travon Walker - Held back at Georgia, but built to attack
3. Jermaine Johnson - He belongs in top 10
4. Kayvon Thibodeaux - Probably UNDERrrated now
5. Drake Jackson - Early concerns about character might have been overblown

Overrated: George Karloftis - Doesn’t belong in conversation with those around him
Underrated: Josh Paschal
Safeties

1. Kyle Hamilton - Love his instincts
2. Lewis Cine - One dimensional? Haven’t decided, but he hits like a truck
3. Nick Cross - HWS

Overrated: Dax Hill - I think he’s a corner Underrated: Nick Cross - Piece of clay WR:

1. Chris Olave - Nice feet, routes, more experience than Wilson
2. Garrett Wilson - Love receivers like this. Versatile, YAC, great feet and routes
3. Jameson Williams - Small, fragile, hurt and will drop some balls, but the most explosive receiver in the draft
4. George Pickens - Character red flags, but the best WR I watched
5. Christian Watson - HWS is enticing

Overrated: Drake London - Couldn’t separate in college, how will he in the NFL? Underrated: Wan’Dale Robinson - Electric ILB:

1. Nakobe Dean - Undersized but rangy, instinctive and smart
2. Devin Lloyd - Love him. Just like Dean a little more
3. Christian Harris - Athlete, can cover
4. Channing Tindall - Better pro than college player
5. Quay Walker - Better college than pro player

Overrated: Troy Anderson - My alma mater, but what do you do with him? Underrated: Channing Tindall DL:

1. Jordan Davis - Will only play half your snaps, but give you Vita Vea when he does
2. Logan Hall - My picks as most underrated player in the draft
3. Devonte Wyatt - No character issues, he’s #1
4. Travis Jones - Best football ahead of him
5. Phidarian Mathis - Limited but productive and high motor

Overrated: Perrion Winfrey - Too much baggage Underrated: Eyioma Uwazurike, Eric Johnson QBs:

1. Kenny Pickett - Cousins 2.0 with speed
2. Malik Willis - Lamar Jackson 2.0 or an utter failure. Your guess as good as mine

Overrated: All the rest Underrated: Kenny Pickett OTHERS UNDERRATED Trent McDuffie, CB - Best CB I watched, coverage and character next level Kaiir Elam, CB - If he could tackle he’d be the 2nd CB after Sauce Spencer Burford, G/T - Late round G/T with long arms, good feet and was a 4-star recruit. Big Senior Bowl. Sean Rhyan, IOL - Rare OL with power and feet who can played each position Eyioma Uwazurike - Ultra versatile NT/DT/DE who’s best football is ahead of him OTHERS OVERRATED Carson Strong - He’ll be drafted but shouldn’t be Matt Corrall - The polar opposite of Cousins. But too far to the other side. David Ojabo, Edge - All athlete. Now an achilles. Where’s the Excedrin? Daxton Hill, S - Good, but should not be above Cine IMO Perrion Winfrey, Edge - Too much baggage Drake London, WR - My only real cat at the TV pick Desmond Ritter, QB  - There’s something there, but it never comes together
