Anyone else feel this way?
For the past 3 months or so before any given draft, I find myself obsessing over any and every mock draft, watching video highlights of all my favorite prospects, trying to find good fits for the team.
Fast forward to a couple days before the draft, and I'm just like whatever. Whoever we take is who I'm going to rock with, so be it. Even if it's someone I care less for...serenity now. I've got a nice 65 inch TV that I don't want to destroy.

After about 45 of these, the only thing I know for certain is that nobody knows anything. Not Kiper, not DJ, not any of us, and especially not the NFL. Just go look at their track record. It's pathetic. Worse than pathetic.
2020 is a great example. Recent enough to remember, but also time enough to really know how the players have fared. 5 DBs taken in the 1st round. 4 of the 5 have been busts. Best DBs were taken at 16, 45 and 51. Six WRs taken in the 1st round. 2 are busts. 1 a big disappointment.
And yet, I guarantee some schmo somewhere is going to be lose it over our pick tonight. Watch, it'll be me after we take Drake London. LOL.
Hey, there are quite a few different combos that would make me happy... excited to see how Kwesi and the rest run their first draft.
LFG!!!
BOOM

Thats how I feel exactly, although I still might break my TV with a lackluster Vikings draft lol
The Vikings are in a position where there's a bunch of viable players at 12 so it would take something really egregiously stupid to set me off. Passing on a Hamilton for McDuffie would cause grumbles, but my TV would still be safe B)

You hit the nail on the head with "Especially not the NFL". Teams and personnel guys love this since its reality TV and they're all playing a main character in it.

imma lose my shit.on other sites, i went to the mats on this draft for jordan davis.
my last two “mats” were dk metcalf (bradbury) and hunter henry (treadwell)
on the record, howd those turn out?analytic kwesi has blown it, already.
wtf?2 shitty drafts for “depth”, cuz… we apparently dont need any top shelf starter talent.
and then the iggles move up to take the gift Davis.
im verklempt.
with 32, i hope we take linderbaum to correct for Bradbury. SMDH.
if we get mccreary and pickens at 32 and 34, i might be talked outta my tree
linderbaum and johnson gone.
RB1 Breece Hall still on the board!
sam howell?
im on pins/needles
Kwesi shit the bed in my opinion. Even if he gets his guy he gave up WAY too much. WAY too much.
cine, S uga.
right school, wrong pick.
if u didnt want davis at 12, why wouldnt you take hamilton, if you wanted S?
analytics, lmao
now if vikes took nakobe dean, made more sense on draft slot, and would have added a lb that could run with opposing te’s

If this this site ever needed to bring back the headbang emoji, now is the time. Now going to watch DVD's where people die violently.

I liked Cine. I thought he would be a good target with our 2nd round pick prior to the trade and will be a good compliment to Smith assuming he can beat out Bynum. However, to pass on impact players available at 12, to gift your Division Rival the best WR in this Draft when healthy, and take less in points value in a trade to move down 20 spots for a 2nd round talent is inexcusable. We have a bunch of Clowns running this team and by the time they get through screwing up this draft we could feel the impact for several years to come.

Damn. I’m pissed and I didn’t even call them clowns lol. But I agree with the rest. To gift Detroit Williams and not get a 2023 first is bad. Fans aren’t smart (including me) and hopefully time proves KAM right but seeing Lions fans dancing in the streets right now isn’t necessarily how I hoped this night would go.
I'll admit not thrilled with Cine, there. I'll also admit I don't know shite. Curious who we pick next. I expected, and advocated for a trade down in the lottery system. This thread seems to make kwesi being a boy genius or a beautiful mind a misnomer. Again, manage expectations :)
We lost value in this trade so we could take the 2nd best safety in the draft who was considered by many as a 2nd round talent when we could have stayed where we were and drafted the top Safety, and by many accounts, one of the top 5 overall players in the draft. That is Clown Show worthy draft day mismanagement. To move down as far as we did and give up our second round pick to move up 10 spots is ridiculous. We should have received their 32nd pick, their 2nd rounder, and kept our 2nd rounder in this deal. That would have made more sense.
I really enjoy reading the opinions of all the "draft experts" on this site. Deep breaths guys, let it all play out.
I'm not going to hate the Cine pick. I actually would have loved getting him with our original 2nd but felt he'd be gone by then. HOWEVER, that was a BAD trade from my perspective.
- Dropping 20 spots in the 1st round, getting you out of range of a possible blue chip prospect.
- I think we got fleeced. Should never have included our 2nd round pick in the deal. At the very least they should have included the third and not the second. Hell, for such a drop we should have asked for a future 2nd.
- Trading with a division rival where now you hope the kid doesn't light you up twice a year.
