Well Za'Darius sure changes the draft strategy
With the news of signing Za'Darius and the dead cap amount for Danielle being $29MM after converting his roster bonus into a signing bonus all but mean CB at #12? Should we still entertain moving down a few spots if Sauce and Stingley are both gone if we can pick up another 2nd rounder this year?
McDuffie's arm length makes me a little nervous, especially at 5'10. I think I'd support trading down a few, draft a CB and then use the second round picks on a G/C, LB, or WR. I'd take a risk on Sam Howell if he drops there too
@"MaroonBells" said: Drafting an IOL in the 1st, or even 2nd, would be a pretty big surprise. For the purpose of the cap, teams like to structure their lines with a mix of age and youth, a mix of high picks and low picks. If the Vikings drafted Penning in the 1st, they would have on their line a 1st - 2nd - 1st - 1st - 2nd. That's not sustainable. What's more, an already too young line is getting younger.
Fix or trade Bradbury, then bring in a veteran to compete with Davis at RG. That really should be all you need to do.
Unless Penning comes in and is as good as advertised. Some of these OL rookies are making immediate impacts (Slater, Sewell, Humphrey, Nelson, Trey Smith, etc). I realize this is a big ask but it feels like some of these young guys are coming in and performing well...and likely much better than the scrubs we have had at those positions the last 2-3 years.
Either way, just fix the damn issue
