For shits and grins, I checked into ticket prices for the bracket being played in Greenville, SC. Just an hour from my place and Greenville is a pretty cool little city. Figured I could get a couple nose bleed seats for a couple hundred.

Cheapest ticket? $525.

For a Friday afternoon game.

So, $1100 or so when you include parking. That's more than the mortgage.

WTAF.

I don't know the area at all, but can it support those ticket prices?

Greenville is a great up and coming place.  A lot of industrial development in the region has pushed a lot of its growth.  My mentor was the lead for the development of BMW's North American HQ in Greenville, and a close friend did the landfill methane extraction generation program to provide power.

Whenever I'm in Asheville, I make it a point to go down and meet some friends in Greenville.

Don't buy food?

Kidding.  I agree, spending that much and then whining about it on twitter doesn't garner any sympathy for me.

Last game I went to was MN out in Seattle, I think it was Harvin's last game IIRC.  AD went on a huge run but got tackled at the goal line and we lost.

Anyway, took 5 kids and myself, $60 apiece.  I won't pay the prices they want now.

Looked at another ticket site, much more reasonable in comparison. If you can call $135 a ticket reasonable.

Or hang around the corner and scalp a couple for $60 1/2hr. before tipoff.

Decided against tickets. Instead I will fill up my truck and buy two days worth of groceries.

Your F150 must not have the extended range tank...

I do. Although I've never put more than 30 gallons in despite being on E.

I figure one foregone ticket should about fill the tank. One for groceries.

Going to drive a 2020 today,  not exactly what I'm looking for but a lot closer than what I've been finding out there.  Hopefully the dealer has been seeing the trend downward in the used vehicle pricing and realizes that the higher fuel costs are going to hit the truck market hardest so he's flexible on his price.

I havent found it yet and I've look a lot.  thing is,  this truck is likely only in my name for 4 to 5 years and it will be close to 200k mileage, so i will be looking again then anyway.  who knows....maybe i dont really want what I think I want,  maybe this is the truck for me.  We will know in a few hours... besides at todays truck prices.... this IS spoiling myself.

You might want to consider the 2.7 liter V-6. My 2018 had one. Not nearly as quick, but it will get you there. Was getting 28+ mpg on my trips between Carolina and Florida.

i am concerned about the towing with that,  I have a 30' camper as well as a 20' stock trailer and I dont want to be short of power when I am trying to get up a hill or down the road into a head wind.  If I was just using it as a passenger vehicle that would likely be my choice,  but I think lacking the HP and Torque while towing would piss me off.

In that case, definitely go with the 3.5 with the tow package. You could take it to Ukraine and tow tanks.
