UConn DT Travis Jones — a former Feldman Freaklister who opened eyes at the Senior Bowl — says he’ll do all athletic testing this week except for the bench.

He seems pretty confident that he’s going to impress again.

Jones told me he’s met informally with the #Vikings

I'm officially hard.

Jamaree Salyer and Cole Strange both with 31 bench reps. Both fun players. Strange took reps at center at the Senior Bowl. Resilient player with great core strength.

Salyer has 34-inch arms, and still got to 31. Strong, powerful blocker. Tons of upside on the interio

Cole Strange started 44 games during his time at Chattanooga with 41 of those coming at left guard, two at left tackle, and one at center. He does offer positional flexibility but I like him best at guard where his run blocking and football IQ are best on display. Strange is an aggressive but controlled blocker that has a nasty demeanor with good power. He’s a good athlete that showcases the ability to work laterally and hit blocks in space. He’s a people-mover in the run game and his motor always runs hot. In pass protection, his punch is firm and he has a stout anchor. He has terrific awareness and understands body positioning. He showcased himself very well against Kentucky in 2021 which helps ease any concerns about the quality of competition he played against at Chattanooga and will have the opportunity to compete at the Senior Bowl. When it comes to concerns, Strange can be tardy to refit his hands and keep his feet engaged in pass protection. This leads to issues with opponents working to his edges and those edges being slippery. He will also turn 24 before the start of his rookie season. Overall, Strange can provide versatility as a reserve but has the traits needed to develop into a quality starter.
Ideal Role: Developmental starting guard

They're doing a great job on keeping the formal interviews under wraps. So far I only see 3.

The #Vikings have met with multiple QBs during the off-season process so far. That list includes Malik Willis, Desmond Ridder, Kenny Pickett, and Carson Strong.

Looking at my center draft rankings, the top-four all project as NFL starters. The next four can be valuable back-ups and have starting upside:

 1. Tyler Linderbaum
2. Dylan Parham
3. Luke Fortner
4. Cole Strange

 5. Dohnovan West
6. Cam Jurgens
7. Alec Linstrom
8. Dawson Deaton

Strange crushing it.

Circling back through yesterday's testing. Will tweet out some thoughts.

First off, Chattanooga OG Cole Strange had a DAY. 5.03 40-yard dash with a 1.73 10-yard split. 28-inch vert, 120-inch broad. Agility numbers above the 90th percentile. And then 31 bench reps on top of that.

TDN has him as a 4th round...val...ue... Fuuuuuuuuuuuck

Cincinnati Bearcats edge rusher Myjai Sanders named the #Vikings, Lions and Commanders as teams that stood out to him during combine interviews. "I had a formal (interview) with the Vikings and I really liked them."
