Drama Queen At It Again

Unless he signs a very team friendly contract with GB, they are screwed with their cap and what to do with their better players. You could argue it would be stupid of him and the worst option on the table to stay in GB for $45MM a year.@"comet52" said:I agree. He found weed last off season, along with his new hollywood friends, and came back as bun man with a whole new appearance and attitude. Hopefully he will get wasted on ear wax, give away all his earthly possessions, and move to a monastery never to be heard from again. Or he'll wake up with a hangover, sign his big contract, and come back for one more shot at it. He would be a fool to leave Green Bay.@"Hawkvike25" said: He was for sure drunk and by himself when he posted all of that. Drunk and emotional leads to some pretty good social media posts Sounds more like he hit the bong than the bottle... maybe both!
Rodgers said this photo from his IG post last night wasn’t a goodbye message but an appreciation that Randall Cobb and Davante Adams “held a space for me” in the KC game that he missed.

It's just another mindfuck. He loves all the attention and messing with people. Until he actually has a new uniform, I don't take any of it seriously.

Aaron Rodgers told the @PatMcAfeeShow that he just came out of a 12-day cleanse and his first thought was "intense gratitude" for everyone in his life.

I think he goes back to GB as well. He'll be 39 years old in December, so something will have to give with his physical skills.
I know you and PF are convinced he'll be back in Cheeseland, but I disagree. As I've said before, I'm convinced the only reason he came back this year was due to a verbal agreement wtih the Packers that they would trade him the following season. In fact, I think the terms might already be in place for a trade to Denver. I could be wrong. We'll just have to see I guess.

I'm in the same boat Bells. If he really is coming back to win a title then how is that going to work in GB with their cap situation? If he only wants to come back to collect a giant paycheck then yes, GB makes sense. Devondre Campbell was their best defensive player and he's gone as he will likely get a contract averaging $7MM+ per year. Za'Darius is a likely cap casualty. I know Rodgers loves Cobb but he carries a $9.5MM cap hit next year and only $2.8MM dead cap so he may be another cap casualty. Not to mention no Adams as of right now and they'll have to spend at least $6MM to sign their rookie class.I dont see how GB fields a competent team with Rodgers carrying a cap hit this large.

Yeah, kinda makes ya hope the Vikings don't trade their stars. My the end of March, the Vikings could be the favorites to win the division.

I keep thinking about when Denny came in, cut a bunch of vets, and went on to win 11 games.I'm thinking we might see the same with some fan favorites.

Luckily that 92 team had 5 hall of famers (Zimmerman, McDaniel, Doleman, Randle, Carter) and a handful of guys who were damn good at their position (AC, Jordan, Hammerin Hank).Amazing to think what those 90s (92-97) teams would have been with all of that talent and actual draft picks to use

I couldn't recall, but it looks like Browner and Herschel left between 91 and 92. But by that time, Browner was pretty much done and Terry Allen was a better back than Herschel. But I do remember thinking Denny's first year was supposed to be a sort of rebuilding year...that wasn't.Either way, I think the similarity between the '91 team and the '21 team is that they both underperformed with very talented rosters. So I agree that a coaching change could turn things around for us bigly in '22. Sure, maybe a player or two is moved around, but a rebuild this ain't....unless the QB is one of them.

I heard an interesting take on this yesterday, at 39 Rogers has made all the money he needs to live on, has all kinds of personal records, but sitting at only 1 damn lombardi has to chaff his ass, if he is really wanting to go to some place where he can compete the last couple years for a SB... why would you pick Denver when they are at best the 3rd best team in their division that is part of an already loaded AFC in terms of up and coming QBs and teams. Their logic is the road to the superbowl is currently likely easier is you stay in the NFC, and GBay is very unlikely to give him the chance to knock the packers out of the playoffs, so they arent likely willing to deal him in conference, the conclusion was is if he is really motivated to win another super bowl, he will end up staying in gbay.

I think more than anything, Rodgers wants to go to a team who isn't opposed to adding a 2nd receiver. And there are many who would argue that Denver is closer to a Super Bowl than Green Bay.
