The #Chargers are hiring Ryan Ficken as their special teams coordinator, source said.
Ficken spent the past 15 seasons in a variety of roles with Minnesota, where he was highly regarded. He initially was blocked, but L.A. pursued him hard and got him.
Damn it. Wanted him retained.

Its going to happen, hopefully O'Connell is reaching out to coaches he wants and is building up his staff before its official in 10 days.

I think any in house guys O'Connell really wants have heard so.

Hopefully O’Connell wants to retain Patterson and McCardell. I honestly think it’s important for him to keep them.
