Does The NFCC Game Decide Our Next HC?
I think Kwesi is more methodical than watching and waiting for the losing coaches to become available to hire. I won't be surprised if the next coach comes from either of those teams, but I'm sure there are others on his interview list also.
I'm leaning towards the OC as well...
Just seems to be the better fit with the renaissance going on in Eagan right now.
I don't think so necessarily. If you have a guy you like, just wait for him.
He doesn't seem like the kind of person who would take his 2nd favorite in the interest of expedience. Even if he lasts 10 years as GM, this will be the biggest decision he'll make in all 10. I think he'll go after the guy he wants regardless of when that is.
I'd be good with either...especially if it means Klint is gone.
I'm pretty sure they have one chosen already unless someone blows them out of the water with a second interview.

Play calling, not so much.
Pair him with O'Donnell, and maybe you have something. Give Cousins the same OC in back to back years?
Just don't give him the play sheet.
The 49ers were patient when they hired Kyle Shanahan while others jumped into the fray to grab other candidates in that hiring cycle a few years ago.
I hope we wait for the guy we want and don't get antsy to get a HC. This is a critical decision that this franchise needs to get right.

He was run game coordinator when he overlapped with KAM on 49ers from 2017-19. But source said Vikings at his point have not requested a McDaniel interview for head coach.

Both 1 year in their current positions. I would need to see more for my HC candidates.
I'll keep my eye on O'Connell more with the Rams. He has about 4 years as OC between Redskins/Rams and I like that he is a former QB with that Off mindset.
(I have no idea why my comments are within the other posters quotes)
1. Todd Bowles 7/2
T-2. Kevin O'Connell 4/1
T-2. DeMeco Ryans 4/1
4. Raheem Morris 6/1
5. Mike McDaniel 7/1
Interesting that the favorite hasn't been in for a second interview, but is available to do so. For me it's:
- O'Donnell
- Ryan's
- Morris

perfect. top of odds is my least favorite candidate. this coupled with lame NYG DC interviewing has really tempered my positive feelings after the press conference yesterday.
i just want something fresh and new. not day old bread candidates.

While Vegas usually knows, they don't always know. Stay strong

- O'Donnell
- Ryan's
- Morris
maybe if i was larry brown, id be excited about Odonnell. lol

Damn it.O'Connell.
Lol
Kwesi and the new HC will be tasked with finding and then developing a franchise QB. I prefer someone from the offensive side of the ball and being a former QB is an added plus in that search and development (and Viking rescue mission) plan.
Of the remaining rumored candidates, I really hope our next HC is O'Connell.
(Still don't understand why we didn't talk to Pederson/Daboll)

As far as developing QB's, I would think getting the OC right is as important as anything.
I am evolving my thinking on HC -- used to want an Offense background. Now I dont care which, as long as they have the leadership and vision skill-set required at that level - and the intuition to hire really good coordinators.
