Yep. Never thought he was coming to Minnesota. And from the Vikings perspective and Kwesi, why would he be more likely to hire someone he's 'connected' to? Doesn't that go against what he's supposed to be about from a process standpoint? Maybe he wasn't really impressed with Ryans or Morris, etc. privately. Maybe one of the candidates the organization interviewed before hiring a GM blew them away and once Kwesi interviews them, he'll feel the same way. Or he is indeed very high on someone he's seen in action previously. Not saying that isn't the case.

Imo, it could be ANY of the candidates they've interviewed. The media is obsessed with connecting the dots somehow.

Well now they got the easiest dot to dot ever created.   Denver wanted rogers last year,  rogers wanted out,  rogers loves his OC,  who now is the HC in Denver,   does rogers stay or go... where does he land?

GBay could eaaily end up being the last place team in the north next year.

Broncos fans should watch the Jaguars Divisional Round win at Pittsburgh in 2017.

Hackett called pretty much the perfect game. It was incredible.

It might make all the sense in the world for Erin to go to Denver, but are they closer to championship than Indy? Everyone knows Wentz was a fail, and the Colts have a ton of cap money. The Colts  might be a better trade partner, and could make a lot of sense.

Since Rodgers started speaking out about things, it seems the nfl has lifted the, make aaron look good, rule. I would rather he stays on that team, keeping them in cap hell, and not netting the a first, or a couple firsts by trading him. We have already lived through the tough part. Now lets finish out the decline.

Broncos' hiring of Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as coach certain to fuel Aaron Rodgers rumorsTom Silverstein

Packers News
View Comments

GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers are losing offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to the Denver Broncos and the logical question that follows is whether quarterback Aaron Rodgers is next.
A source confirmed a NFL Network report that the Broncos are finalizing a deal with Hackett to become their head coach. A deal is expected today and Hackett will begin assembling his staff.
Denver has long been a rumored trade partner with the Packers should they decide to deal Rodgers. They have lots of cap room, multiple high draft picks and now they have one of Rodgers’ favorite coaches.
Coach Matt LaFleur said this week that if Hackett got a head-coaching job, he would replace him with someone in-house. The leading candidate is quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator Luke Getsy. Running game coordinator and offensive line coach Adam Stenavich could also be considered.
It’s possible Hackett will try to take Getsy with him to Denver, but LaFleur would have to give Denver permission to speak to him. And if he’s planning on promoting Getsy to offensive coordinator, it’s likely he would deny permission.
Getsy could leave if his contract is expiring, but the Packers typically keep their assistant coaches on running two-year deals.
NFL Network said that the Broncos planned on asking permission to speak to Stenavich for the offensive coordinator’s position, which if granted would likely mean Stenavich's departure. Losing either Getsy or Stenavich would be a big loss and LaFleur may have to get creative with staff assignments to try to keep both.
If Hackett plans on calling plays in Denver, the offensive coordinator's job there wouldn't be as attractive.
LaFleur has said that he wouldn’t stop an assistant coach from leaving to take a higher position, but Stenavich is such a big part of the team’s offensive operation, it’s likely he’ll convince him to stay.
“We've got a lot of confidence in the guys that we have on our staff,” LaFleur said on Monday. “You know, we got so many good guys, and it's not going to be an easy decision. Let me just tell you that.”

Twitter is buzzing with Rodgers and Adams to Denver. I wasn't really sold on Hackett so we'll see what he does on his own.

With Payton out of New Orleans I have an opening on the most hated teams list, looks like Denver is going to fill the void!

I’ve had two people tell me that Indy is the “best option” for Aaron Rodgers and while it might be a good landing spot, the Wentz trade took away their ‘22 first which is almost necessary for a Rodgers trade.

Just for the drama it would create for GB fans, I wish we would have hired Hackett and then everyone would speculate that Rodgers was coming to MN.

Go to Denver, Aaron. Prove to us that Mahomes is and always will be superior to you...loser of the first game gets Jackson as brother.

Per source, Broncos are planning to interview former Broncos offensive assistant/current Vikings OC Klint Kubiak for an offensive coaching position. It’s a new generation of the West Coast offense - Paul Hackett to Nathaniel; Gary Kubiak to Klint. #9sports
