Poles ends up with the Bears (Not the Sticky version)
Have heard the same this morning; seems to be the expectation among some of the coaches talking to Poles. https://t.co/RBaecBWdMF

If Poles picks Bears over Vikings, I would be happy. It would be his first bad decision :)
On the other hand, I really like Poles over Mensah so if he chooses us he is the mensa not Mensah :)
"The timing aspect of this is interesting. The Bears interviewing Poles first means they'll have the first crack at offering him a job, if they choose to do so. But they're also still conducting initial interviews with other candidates this week. The Vikings are more narrowed down in that they've completed their entire first round of interviews and are down to two choices.
If the Vikings like Adofo-Mensah more after the two interviews this week, it doesn't seem like they'd face any obstacles in hiring him. But if they want Poles, there could be a bit of a bidding war with the Bears. That could come down to which team makes a better offer, although the pros and cons of each job might be factored into his decision as well. The Bears have a young quarterback on a rookie contract and a better defensive core, but the Vikings have the advantage in offensive roster talent, stadium and facilities, and organizational competency.
The Vikings won both meetings with the Bears this season, but they might have to beat their division rival once again to land their guy at GM."
Wow, my reasoning in the other thread obviously wrong. I am surprised.
I mean if I want to build a winner, the first team I would look at is the Browns.
Ryan Poles closes in on becoming new Bears G.M.
There are still eight head-coaching vacancies in the NFL. But there may soon be only one G.M. vacancy.
Per multiple sources, the Bears are closing in on hiring Ryan Poles as the next General Manager of the team.
The #Vikings are now expected to work to hire #Browns executive Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as their next GM, sources say. He’s the final finalist and they have been interviewing him again.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bears are finalizing a deal to hire Kansas City Chiefs assistant director of player personnel Ryan Poles as their next GM.
Ryan Poles was the leading candidate in Chicago, and the #Bears are hiring him. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was the leading candidate in Minnesota. They will huddle, but may move quick on him, as well.

I hope he was truly the leading candidate
It will be interesting to see who Poles recommends as the next Bears coach. Another KC assistant to Reid?
good for Poles. if the rumored coach connection for Bears is true, Im happy. Caldwell, Flores, or Eberflus are all Meh. id puke over Caldwell hire.
the connections with Mensa sound far more exciting to me: Ryans,McDaniel, Morris, or Kevin OcConnel

Quinn is one of three known finalists, along with #Colts DC Matt Eberflus (who interviews Wednesday) and Jim Caldwell.
dan quinn doesnt excite me either.
mensa with Ryans, Morris, or OConnel. i want my coach to have a personality, connect with players, and be able to adapt to analytical GM (if its mensa)

IF that is the case then yes, I am in agreement!
Adofo-Mensah and Ryans were together in SF.
Welcome to a bold new world....with that, hopefully come wins. Maybe this is the fucking nerd we need to get past the curse. Go get 'em, Kwesi.

The old way wasn't working. Why not try something new in the modern era of football?

Truth. I'm on board.

Preach! No guarantee the new way will work either but I’d rather the Vikes be ahead of the curve than behind it.
