Like I always say, the Wilfs are good people, good businessmen, but make terrible football decisions

Good people in the sense that they sell themselves that way. Go read how they treated their partners back in Jersey. A judge called them out for acting like a criminal enterprise.
Terrible football decisions...well we don't necessarily know what football decisions they actually get involved in. But their hiring history isn't stellar. The team's in the playoffs about 1/3 of the time, roughly half the historic franchise rate prior to their ownership dating back to the Bud Grant era. They've produced one legit contender in 19 years by renting the last great gasp of Brett Favre.
If the team were more successful under them, then this perpetual divisiveness in the fan base over whether the team is good or going to contend would not be so persistent, as evidenced every day on this board.
And now Supa will tell you stuff you never heard before about Kwesi and affirmative action. ;)
Gosh I didn't even read the very important p.r. piece from Marky Mark and the Wilf Bunch before I wrote that.
Your corporate-speaking bullshitter skills remain unparalleled, Mark. I look forward to your annual training camp prediction that this is, at last, Our Year! :)

All the owners speak this way, its not just the Wilfs.
@"StickyBun" said:Ya'll are so cute together. The explanation is simple. They run the team like fans and I don't believe they really know football or how to build a championship organization as evidenced by current and past decisions.@"MaroonBells" said:You'll get an explanation, but it won't make sense.@"supafreak84" said: Like I always say, the Wilfs are good people, good businessmen, but make terrible football decisions What do you even mean?
@"comet52" said: And now Supa will tell you stuff you never heard before about Kwesi and affirmative action. ;)Lol well let's not beat around the bush, anybody who doesn't think the progressive agenda of the league in pushing teams (rewarding teams) to hire minority candidates to management positions didn't have a HUGE impact in the Wilfs hiring an under qualified analytics major with zero actual football experience, is delusional and I can sell you a few covid masks to wear on your next jog around the neighborhood

Lol honestly I'm still waiting on the team to recognize trans vegan pink haired squirrel month...I'm sure it's coming. But I digress and won't take this thread down that rabbit hole. Wilfs will Wilf..
But hey, on to that competitive rebuild...
@"supafreak84" said: But hey, on to that competitive rebuild...Yeah, that's what I was asking about. You never really answered. You think it's a bad idea? You think it's not working? You would've done what instead? Tanked? Re-signed Kirk? I'm not really following what your criticism is.
@"MaroonBells" said:My criticism of the competitive rebuild and if it's even a sound roster building strategy is well known, and you of all people know it. I'm not going to regurgitate stuff that's been gone over ad nauseam. This offseason and upcoming season will be the true tell of just how effective the strategy has been in comparison to every other team in the division and how they've reset their rosters@"supafreak84" said: But hey, on to that competitive rebuild... @"supafreak84" said:Honestly, tanking is not a reality. Past that the 22 draft was not good, otherwise I think they’ve done about as well as they could.@"MaroonBells" said:My criticism of the competitive rebuild and if it's even a sound roster building strategy is well known, and you of all people know it. @"Bullazin" said:Tanking is a dirty word, but you need to evaluate the roster correctly and be honest about where you are at as a franchise. We held on to players who were tradable commodities that we've lost for nothing when the reality was we were never contending for the Super Bowl even with them. The Lions understood that when they traded Stafford. Packers understood that when they traded Adams and Rodgers. The Bears understood that when they traded Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith. The Vikings tried to parlay every last gasp of the Spielman Zimmer regime into regular season success for absolutely nothing but to appease the egos of the Wilfs. Mission accomplished, now we sit where we sit...and that's 4th in the division trying to make up ground@"supafreak84" said:Honestly, tanking is not a reality. The most impactful part of Mark Davis is his face....the way a F5 tornado impacts a trailer park.
