Not as a HC, but potentially an OC, passing coordinator whatever you want to call it.

Shurmur was also excellent about making our offense multiple...  meaning we were able to pass AND run effectively out of the same formation to keep defenses off balance.  It was a big reason Case Keenum had the success he did with us.

Yes. Truly gifted as an OC. If the GM could find an equally gifted DC they would have something. I like the current special teams coach

Yes.  I have been beating that drum for a while.  He did moore with les  than any other coordinator.  (spelling intentional)

So if you want an experienced OC like PS who runs his own system,   why do we need to focus on a HC candidate from that side of the ball?  Isn't the point of focusing on the offensive side of the ball for the head coach is to have continuity in the system they run,  since the O is more important?

If you could guarantee Shurmur wouldn't get another HC offer, then yes, you could expand the HC search.  But I just don't see it if he were to have 2 good years, someone would be willing to give him another try.
