7th seems unlikely (Drew Lock ain't beating KC), but 8th is possible with a loss. The difference between 8th and 14/15th is vast.
I do love beating the Bears though.
We missed out on Slater last draft by one slot pick 13. He has been a stud and I am 99% sure he is the guy we wanted just not enough to move up for. Spelly was able to parlay pik 14 into Darrisaw (whom I loved pre draft) and looks good to me so far when he has played, Mond and Wyatt.
But every draft slot is important, and I am hoping for a loss, and some move up. I am rarely for a loss for draft positioning (not good for moral of players) but with Zimmer on the way out and new regime I don't think it makes any difference this Sunday to the team as a whole.
Vikings history (since 1970) at each possible spot:
7th: Adrian Peterson, Troy Williamson, Bryant McKinnie, Darrin Nelson
8th: Zero. Last was Gene Washington in 1967
9th: Anthony Barr, Kevin Williams (orig. 7th), Doug Martin
10th: Jeff Siemen
11th: Trae Waynes, Daunte Culpepper, Derrick Alexander
12th: Christian Ponder, Chuck Foreman
