Zimmer on whether he expected Kellen Mond to be further along at this point of the season after the Vikings spent a 3rd round pick on the QB: "It’s hard to judge. You try to draft a guy on his ability and where he’s going to go and every one of them moves at a different pace."

That Covid stint during training camp didn't help him, that's for sure.

I don't think Zimmer meant to disparage the kid, but his words were poorly chosen. He was flippant about it, crabby in his response. Its hard to know how Mond is progressing but if I had to guess, he's behind. That's the vibe I get personally.
