OT: We got a Ring Alarm System
Xmas present for the house.
Used to have ADT/Brinks many years ago. Their monitoring fees just got ridiculous so we dropped it.
RING system set-up took me about 40 minutes, super fast and easy. The device connectivity these days is so much better than years past.
If we opt for monitoring? Starts @ just $10.00 mos. with no contract.
Monitoring $$ was the main reason I went Ring vs Simplisafe (and the mobile app).
Not sure we want/need a video doorbell next???

It works perfect for us. Really like it. We have a driveway to far away for a traditional driveway alarm but ring does it perfectly.
We've had the Ring doorbell for 4 years, its awesome. When we traveled to Europe, we spoke to our UPS guy via that system, worked great!

The video doorbell is awesome. We were having truoble with our Schwan's guy not stopping. I'd be hime and see him drive by, then we'd get an email saying he stopped and no one was home. I went to the video, and he hadn't stopeed any of the times we got the emails.....I replied to the emails that I checked the ring, and there was never an attempt to come to the door.
It is great to communicate with UPS or Fedex or other venders.
