OT: Lochstar
Hey all, i hope you’re doing well. I dont watch the NFL anymore, but came here to find out the status of Lochstar. He is/was a friend to many of us. I saw a grim post of him being in home hospice. I’m hoping i am incorrect and the person i saw online today was not him. However, looking at comments on his FB page, my hopes have been diminished. If you know whats going on, please extend an olive branch and let me know.
Be good to one another and take care.

I did not recognize him but I did see him in his sister's face. he is down to 160 lbs from 320. he was awake and was able to converse, although he was hard to understand. His voice is weak , and is still adamant about the deep desert nomades and their perpensity to wear black attire to repel the intense desert heat. I messaged his sister yesterday and Al is still holding on strong.I dont know why my post didnt show up before, but that was really good of you Scott to go visit him, I wouldnt expect anything less of you. Nor would I expect the nomad from changing his stance on the other nomads... that was a great night with great people. I am glad I was able to enjoy it with you all and especially Al for making us laugh so damn hard all evening.

Ithe night before I indulged in several angry balls ( Angry orchard cider and fireball whiskey) I felt really bad the next day so bad that I thought if I took a nap I would not wake up, until Al told the nomad story , I decided to take my chances....@"PapaScott" said: I visited Al on 12-23. Raise my glass to Loch. To a great guy - forever Skol!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8OtzJtp-EM
Rest easy Al. I am so glad to have met you. Sending positive and healing vibes to your friends and family. A beautiful and kind soul. He touched a lot of people's lives.
RIP Al, thoughts and prayers to his family and many friends
Its not every day you meet a person that truly is unique, they just do themselves and don't give a fuck what society thinks about that. I loved Al for being one of the guys. We are gonna miss you Nonad! RIP buddy.
I am having a hard time gettong my head around this. I really enjoyed the time I spent with Al.
I will miss that guy a whole lot.
Very sad to see this.
I chatted with him on his post-game radio show a few times, he was a fellow music geek as much as a Vikings fan, and we got to have a lot of mutual, happy babble about things.
Those little conversations are actually huge in this life.
R.I.P., Al...and enjoy the Jam Eternal!
I keep coming on here to write about Loch, Al and then get caught up in the fun memories I shared with him and don’t know what to write. I’ll always have those stories to share, and for right now, I guess I will just say thank to such a kind and genuine friend for being that, a friend and Vikings Brother. Peace to you Al, and The Lochstar is Legendary.
Qualities in people that are important to me are the ability to make me laugh, smile and think. The times I spent with Al, he definitely made me laugh and smile. The discussions we had definitely made me think. He was so unique and special. This loss is hitting so damn hard.
the tentative plan is to have a BBQ(John Hardy's) gathering this summer. have not seen an obituary yet.
THis is sad. Praying for him and his family in this time, but he has been one I always enjoyed around here.
