Can We Put QB Wins To Bed Now?
Last night, Cousins could stand on the beach and not hit open water.
Mac Jones completes 2 passes.
Lamar Jackson throws four picks.
All won.
For the love of all that is good and holy, QB wins is not a stat.
I'm begging.

Think! Just a little. Might even feel good.
If the QB is so immaterial in wins, why are they so heavily scaled in the salary cap for most teams not starting a qb on a rookie contract?

Its a very important position obviously. You got 12 guys on offense and 12 guys on defense, yet the QB is the sole factor for wins and losses? Its nonsensical.

I'll toss this wrinkle out there...
Someone the caliber of Mahomes, Brady or Rogers can make a diff, a big one. I'd bet $$ Rogers is worth 3 wins a year being on the Packer roster, maybe 4.
Hopefully Wi finds out what that surround with Love looks like vs Rogers in 22.
Problem is? There aren't many of them guys.

Not the first time that's happened.
- Tim Tebow won a game completing 2 passes. https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=311113012
- Andy Dalton won a game throwing 4 picks. https://www.nfl.com/news/bengals-overcome-four-dalton-interceptions-eliminate-ravens-fro-0ap2000000305913

If any player at any position eats a large% of the salary cap and does not play up to potential in a loss, IMO its fair to lay an appropriate amount of blame at their feet. Its not that their poor play was a cause for the loss, but the lack of elevated play hinders the teams success. If a QB thinks he is worth the lions share of the cap then he better be doing the lions share of the heavy lifting on game day.
Week 11, 2019, There were four Qbs who threw for four interceptions. All losses.https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/11/19/four-quarterbacks-had-four-interceptions-each-for-the-first-time-since-1983/

That's ugly.
Similar stat from the Vikings on a 21 - 14 win over Arizona in 2012.
C/ATT YDS TD INT SACKS RTG
Christian Ponder: 8/17 58 1 2 3 35.5

Back to back prime time wins!
Is this starting to sink in for some of you?
