You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams
Bet his agent was saying" USC" every other sentence during the negotiations :p

In assessing his chances of landing at USC I will quote the illustrious Dean Vernon Wormer: "Zero point zero."
Top 20 paid coach in the nation for a team that is rarely ranked... but if you want to return that program to its storied past, you have to roll the dice.

I have to admit. I like Fleck. I like him as a College coach. I know some people think his schtick is annoying. But that shit works with college kids and the best part is it doesn’t get old with the Players because they aren’t there for long enough for it to get old.
I think this was a great move for the program. He has some stability and that will help with his recruiting.
oh his schtick is beyond annoying for me, but I dont matter. A lot of kids seem to lap it up, although there were "whispers" of kids disenchanted and some of them did leave the program. Some higher profile than others, just lost a good OL to the transfer portal.
Happens everywhere, I know.
Fleck is probably as good as anyone a program like MN can recruit - and he genuinely seems to like it here, wants to raise the family in the Midwest. I think they were #20 when the first bowl rankings came out this past week.
The college guys love him. I think he resonates for some because he fills a void and others because he cares. Corny, hokey or whatever it works. He is who he is.
He's the best we've had since Glen Mason anyway. As embarrassing as that Bowling Green loss was, I'm impressed that they haven't lost since despite Ibrahim's backup Potts also going down for the year.

Thanks for the jinx
I was listening to PJ Fleck recently and he was talking about how he used to micromanage but now he trusts his coaches to get the job done. I thought that was very important because even though the head coach is in charge, you still have to delegate and trust those around you. You have to let the other coaches do their jobs.
