Here's the reality: Green Bay has a knack for winning games. Minnesota has a knack for losing games. Its been like that through the Favre/Rodgers era with just a few exceptions. We call the Packers 'lucky' or aided by the refs, been hearing this for 25 years, but the reality is Green Bay just figures out a way to win close game more often than not and Minnesota figures out a way to lose games in the same situation more often than not. Not always, of course.....but the majority of the time.
I don't believe in fate or curses. But unless you have a strong vein of sunshine of the eternal optimist coursing thru your fan body, I just find myself not expecting anything other than a bitter pill at some point in the season's journey for the Purple. And I think conversely, Packer fans feel the opposite. For this game, 3-0 in the turnover department was the issue with one TO being especially hurtful. Their record is what they are, same with the Vikings. But having said that, I don't think Green Bay is the best team in the NFC.
10 of the Packers' points tonight came on 2 drives where they gained a total of 14 yards and the national media is about to claim all day on Friday that they're the best team in the NFL

Luck typically runs out. I have no doubt their luck will not be there when they need it most

I think GB shot their wad the last few years. Football gods and odds just dont favor them going to another NFCCG.
We'll see. Lots of football left.
They luck their way through the regular season, get breaks, missed calls, and when it comes to winning against really good teams when it matters most, they choke.
That will happen this year as well.
Amazing in that they could easily have had losses at Az and Cincy, while we could have easily had wins at Az and Cincy
The season would feel very different if they were 5-3 and we were 5-1 with an opportunity to get to 6-1 and this weekend.
good teams find ways to win those games... bad teams dont, we are who we are and they are who they are... until we arent and they arent... then we and they wont be.

What amazes me is that even without Adams, they had a masterful game plan. Despite the obvious run heavy approach last night, I was even more impressed with their passing attack with a bunch of unknown receivers that were finding ways to get open and move the chains.

Lafleur outcoached Kingsbury last night big time. Zona had no answer for the RB screens and couldn’t overcome “rookie sensation” Rondale Moore giving GB the ball left and right.
GB got really lucky at the end but they were short-handed and were the better team most of the night. It was annoying as hell.

Their defense made plays in a game where their offense was handicapped & you have to give them credit, begrudgingly, for that.
I still think TB wins the NFC when its all said and done. But GB is going to be in the conversation no doubt. There a top 3 team imo and their D is starting to come on.
I sure hope Zimmer can start to correct an terrible record against LaFluer and Nagy this season.
I'm tired and bored of being an also ran.

You're probably right, but they also have some good teams coming up on their schedule. Fluke play win vs AZ, lucky multiple missed FGs by Cincy, and Washington turned it over twice? within the 5 yard line. I'm not ready to crown their defense just yet. They are a good team, but luck always runs out.

Green Bay's early schedule was a joke, but it gets a little harder now. I'd probably put them 5th among Tampa, Rams, Vikings and Cards, but they're very well coached and they clearly have a horseshoe up their ass.
