Zimmer on offense
Outside of one series, Mike Zimmer said he didn’t think the offense was too conservative.

A man with his head buried up his ass is not a pretty sight.

I just want to know which series he's talking about. I have a feeling it's different than the the one that pisses everyone off.
What's so ironic about all of this is that game winning drive was nearly identical to the possession just before the half in terms of time remaining.
Because you HAVE TO, you throw two passes and kick the winning field goal. You do the same thing before the half, you render all of that unnecessary.

Yeah, I wondered why they didn't try to score before halftime. They should've taken shots downfield for more points for sure.
I would have kept feeding the Jefferson beast until they proved they could stop it...
You can call it conservative play calling, I call it no killer instinct.

Zimmer has always been that way. Get the lead, sit on it and hope the defensive can preserve the win...
Vikings offense is dead last in average yards to gain on 3rd down with 8.7. Stop running the ball on second and long and throw to your studs

Isn't this what Diggs was frustrated about among other things? Anyway Diggs was the cancer.
Can't blame him, he probably didn't want to have his QB sneak up on him again and pound his chest

Absolutely and now he gets to be utilized to his fullest. If they aren't careful, Jefferson could leave too.

He could have had 250 yards receiving with that secondary
Have we even had an 2nd half offensive TD, help me out here…
edit: haven’t scored one since week 1 :s
I wonder if the playcalling and time management would be viewed differently by fans if they had won against the Bengals and Cardinals? Both games were well within reach for wins (on the road).
But, running out the clock beginning with the 2nd half is a little frustrating. That is not the halftime adjustment I care to see.
The Vikings seem to like sitting on a lead, even when they don’t have it.

Yup...We're all arm chair QB's at heart.
I'm needing to remind myself to be positive, especially Q1 of the season. For me, the fans who dont want to read another bitch post and my wife. We'll see how I feel after the next 2 games.
Next 2 are imo a real fork in the road for the season.
Trying hard to keep the draft pick mentality beast at bay.
