Was nice to see Darrisaw out there today!
He looked athletic and didnt appear over-matched most of the snaps.
Good to see!!

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
I enjoyed seeing him too...should have been in the entire second half
I want to see more Darrisaw. Might as well see what he can do.
Seems like they like him an awful lot on special teams…apparently a first round left tackle is perfect for a job like that.
He looked very athletic out there. I'm curious if his play today will be enough to let him start next week. Hill is a nice depth player, but he's been overmatched at times and shouldn't start if Darrisaw is up to speed.
When the game was on the line and the offense needed to overcome the ball, it was Hill on the field. SMFH

Good hand placement, footwork, and body control. You could tell throughout the game that he continued to gain confidence. A solid showing for the young man. #Skol pic.twitter.com/MnzPsKv7YG

agreed very nice. he got good movement in the running game and his punch is nasty.
Very impressed with Darrisaw. Unlike HIll, he actually has an anchor. Mattison's 45 yard run was sprung by a Darrisaw block. Love how he practically toys with Harris here. Harris: "What, you didn't fall down. Oh wait, you're not Rashod, are you."
I watched the clip of every Darrisaw snap. And I saw enough of Hill getting mowed over that it's ridiculous to me that each finished with a PFF grade in the middle 50s.

This is a beautiful rep for Darrisaw. This is where Kirk has to be better. He had time and could have rolled right on a four man rush. He needs to trust his OL and not breakdown so fast, extend the play on a 2nd and long.
Roll out to the right and keep looking down field. Kirk has played well, but there is more he can get out there if he stayed a little cooler in the pocket.

Definitely on Kirk, but IMO more because he didn't get rid of the ball in what had to be at least 3.5 seconds. Sure, another QB escapes, but a pocket QB has to get rid of the ball.
"He's still got a ways to go," coach Mike Zimmer said. "We're just trying to break him in easy. It's really got nothing to do with conditioning now. It's about practice time."

If he's got a ways to go then Hill has a it aint freaking happening to go. It's obvious, just like Breeland and Dantzler so stop being stubborn and make the change
Was he one of the linemen that propelled Mattison into the endzone on that pass as well. I know Bradbury was there, but couldn't see if it was Darrisaw or Cleveland helping out. Mattison was stopped until the 2 lineman moved that pile into the endzone.

I am glad they got him some reps in this game. He looked good, but he wasn't the one the Lions planned on facing. No doubt he is better than Hill, but he has barely practiced, and his practices are in game weeks so there isn't a ton of hitting. Some game reps are exactly what he needs to get in football shape and speed.
he is better in pass pro ( this is kind of a big deal in a pass friendly league on a team with a high dollar QB and 2 top tier WRs) he is better in run blocking, also a big deal on a team coached by a man that thinks its still 1984 and that we can grind out games on the ground.... so WTF is Hill doing in the game when they know we have to pass and their linemen can pin their ears back and just come after the pocket QB?

He looked good in the video with all of his reps. Very active hands, has a good base and wasn't getting pushed around like Hill. Hopefully, he is starting very soon. I'm also curious what it will take for Davis to break through and start over Udoh. Udoh has been very up and down so far, had some bad penalties, but probably has a stronger case to remain starting than Hill, but I want to see what Davis can do.

He looks like he is too tall without enough mass to be a strong LG. Oli has been up and down but he also is playing is 7th game. He looks to be stronger than Cleveland, more stout and harder to get around

I generally like what I've seen out of Udoh and think we might have found our guard combo with him and Cleveland. To me Bradberry is still the weak link on the interior and I hope Davis is getting some practice reps and cross training at center with the thought of having a bigger, stronger player in there.
So my guess is the reason Darrisaw wasn't out there more is they are easing him in from a workload perspective. He just hasn't practiced enough to play a whole game yet, but maybe that changes a little more this week and then he starts the following week. Its obvious he's better than Hill.
