I'm with you.  Mannion offers nothing. If we need someone to start, I'd rather see what Mond looks like with our starters.  Is Mannion even an upgrade over Browning?  Serious question.

Agreed. We aren't going to win shit with Mannion, so why bother? Let Mond play potentially.

Source says the anticipation is that the #Vikings will re-sign QB Sean Mannion and that Jake Browning will not sign with their practice squad now.

Agreed.  He is familiar with the offense, so he won't need to take snaps away from the other Qbs to get up to speed and he is a vet that our team has relied on for two (too many) years.

Don’t think this is a procedural move as it will incur some minor dead cap. Maybe the #Vikings preferred a punter recently made available, like JK Scott?

So, who had in the office pool that Greg Joseph would make the roster but Britton Colquitt and Andrew DePaola would be cut?  Seems strange to me to keep the least experienced of the three players crucial for FGs: kicker, holder and snapper.

Putting these players on IR today means they have to miss a minimum of 3 games.

That mean hopeful returns for Nwangwu and Chisena, but Irv is likely out a few months.
