they used to call that a diversion program,  or "scared straight"  they likely were just having some misunderstood fun on the wrong side of the fence.

To be fair, he has shown his head is better used as a battering ram than to make good decisions.

maybe so,  but she was kind of cute and didnt look upset so it likely worked out for him.
