You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams
I read this a few days ago. Crazy.
I turned on ESPN about 3 weeks ago and barely recognized it. I hadn't watched a Sportscenter or whatever they are calling it now in over 12 or 13 years and its quite the shit show of schtick, wanna be comedians and 'cool' factor. It has nothing to do with sports and everything to do with the personalities. They've also let a lot of good people go the last 5 or 6 years apparently for cost cutting measures and it shows. This lack of vetting is on par with it.
Sidenote: anyone seeing this new baseball trend of players making a great play (say home run) and trotting the bases with their thumbs down at fans? Like their ratings aren't bad enough now they have to aggressively piss off the fans that do attend?? What a world, man.

ESPN is a total shitshow. I can't bear to watch it anymore, unless an intriguing game is on and even then I sometimes have to mute it.
As far as the "thumbs down" schtick, I know here in NYC a couple of the Mets players have been doing that in retaliation for fans booing them when they're playing badly. And this is not the place to piss off the locals when it comes to baseball (Thank God I'm a Yankee fan).

Heard that was a Mets thing. They were upset the fans were booing their poor play. About as stupid as it gets for a pro player.
Thats crazy. BSPN has been scamming us claiming they are a sports network for years.
