Co-DC Adam Zimmer said Everson Griffen is meeting with Vikings brass right now. Griffen worked out with Minnesota around 9 AM, no word yet on whether he’s trending towards signing. If they’re trying to get something done today before practice at 2:15, we should hear shortly.

Kirk Cousins on if he has an idea how much he might play Saturday: "Haven't discussed it. It's usually something we're told the day before at the earliest, maybe day of. I've learned through my years just to plan on playing a good amount and do your homework and be ready to go."

Well you would expect that, but this is what was attractive about him to me. He improved year over year at TAM and he also seemed to improve over the course of games. 

I was not impressed with that I saw on Saturday, but I fully expect Mond to be a completely different QB in two years.

"He's got a good command of the playbook... I think it's just being able to match up your body with what you know of the playbook and make it to where the muscle memory is instinctual... But he's done a good job with the studying part."

Klint Kubiak said coaches cut the playbook to "a more limited menu" for Kellen Mond in his preseason debut based on the group he was working with but notes that the rookie QB can handle "plenty mentally." Sounds like Mond could have increased throwing volume vs. Indy.

Diggsie was making veterans look like crap his first TC...

Be wonderful if the Vikings struck lighting twice. I'll leave it at that.

I don't have a problem with immaturity. Didn't with Diggs either. Half the receivers in the NFL fall into that category. But he needs to be a better ball fighter.

Felt like Adam Zimmer kiboshed the notion today that Patrick Peterson would be playing a lot of zone at his older age.

"Most of our zone coverages -- with the corners anyway -- they're pretty much man on those guys unless we're playing it two deep or something."
