Davis needs to really out play Dozier.
lol....sigh
Anthony Barr’s absence from practice yesterday was not a vet day, per Mike Zimmer. “He’s got something that he’s dealing with.”

IOL: Bradbury, Cleveland, Udoh, Davis, ColeThey can keep only 9 again because Udoh and Cleveland can play tackle and Cole can play both guard and center. If they keep 10, I think the 10th is either Kyle Hinton or Blake Brandel, but both could go on the PS too. Dozier and Samia play one position only and there are four solid, more versatile, players ahead of them in Cleveland, Udoh, Davis and Cole.

Sounds like Brandel is playing himself onto the roster as our swing tackle.

Just read that he played 100% of the snaps on Saturday. Never left the field. And graded over 70 on the PFF scale. I guess if Udoh is going to be a forever guard, it makes sense that Brandel would be the swing. However, what happens when Darrisaw is in the mix? Hill's the swing. Do they keep both? Just further argument that it's a tough path to 53 for Dozier and Samia. It's funny how the OL is suddenly one of the deeper units on the team. Don't know how good the starters are yet, but there's definitely depth.

Guess they worry about that once Darrisaw gets there. And not only do we have depth, but lots of youth as well.

I don't know how good the Depth is either? I don't want to confuse Depth vs a body.Depth is what I was trying to key on in our horrible first preseason game. I saw very little to discern anything.
The hype for our WR 3 was a bust but I would think would look a lot better with Cousins/OL etc.
Also, there was a little hype for Browning and that was gone after about 5 snaps.
Wyatt should move to 2nd unit asap.
I hope Dantzler can bounce back before the season starts in a couple weeks. I think his slightness thus getting dinged is setting him back which is not surprising but disappointing for me. I think he will bounce back to really add some very good depth at CB - Boyd, Hand and I am thrilled with Mac back in the slot.
Liked what I saw from Rose and Patrick Jones - whom I was hyping pre draft along with his teammate Weaver from Pitt. I liked that we got him but I had come to the conclusion that Weaver was the better pass rusher and Jones better run contain. Weaver got into a little trouble right after the draft and I haven't followed him at all since. I am hoping Jones can develop into a BRob type DE.
Geez, I started with the thought of only commenting on our "depth" and man did I start to "Ramble On" and sing my song.
