Competition for starting DE#2
Andre Patterson declares that there is a competition between Stephen Weatherly and DJ Wonnum for the second starting DE spot. Patterson says the competition will go until Week 1.

I think Jones II is going to be hard to keep out of the starting DE#2 spot next year:
Patterson was great talking about his “wide-eyed” young pass rushers as well. Mentioned that Patrick Jones II could’ve had three more TFLs if he’d “run the defense.”

Jones definitely had some moments. Robinson too, but to a lesser extent. Definitely going to be able to rotate opposite of Hunter.
Regardless of who "wins" the starting DE2 spot... I think both will get plenty of snaps. Zimmer loves to rotate his DEs to keep the pass rush strong all game long. I expect Wonnum to get the larger share though because he's apparently been showing out in TC.
