Wentz is out indefinitely and will undergo further testing related to a foot injury he suffered Thursday

Could impact not on the Colts, but the Eagles as well.

Colts' QB Carson Wentz is out indefinitely as he undergoes further testing on a foot injury that he suffered at the end of Thursday's practice, per @MikeWellsNFL and me.

Colts' second-year QB Jacob Eason took the starter reps at today's practice, with Sam Ellinger as his backup.

The Colts should just hold Wentz out the first 6 games no matter what to make sure they keep that first round pick.  Who's to tell them exactly when Wentz will be "ready" to play?

Frank Reich stopped by to chat as practice gets underway here. Says Carson Wentz’s surgery went as expected and doctors did not find any issues that prompted additional concerns. Now, we wait.

This one sucks.  I don't give a crap about Wentz, but Nelson is a beast.  Hopefully he makes it back OK.
