I think that's a very solid guess as to how it will start out. Might be off by one or two, but it makes sense.

I'd be more than a little bummed if Darrisaw wasn't starting.

Davidson might need to be a long snapper to make the squad. Would be very interesting to see if he can hold. Could be a Pat McInnaly part 2.

The Hill / Darrisaw comp could go either way. I just tend to think that Hill's experience makes him the more dependable option, at least early on. Plus, he plays pretty well on the left side, grading in the 70s there in spot duty, which is very near Reiff's grade. I do think, however, Darrisaw takes over there at some point this season.

Davidson was the most impressive player I watched post-draft. He's my pick for this year's Mr. Mankato. The Vikings will almost certainly keep 3 TEs on the 53 so his only real competition for TE3 is Brandon Dillon and Shane Zylstra.

Well done. Overall, I can't disagree too much. There may be a couple spots that I may lean in a different direction, but for the most part I could see things unfold just like this.

On defense, depending on where you put Kendricks since he played 1/2 a year?   The only starters returning are Harrison Smith and Cam Datzler.  Where as on offense the only changes are LT and RG depending on who wins the spots.

Crazy to see how much the D changed in a few months.  Hopefully we're able to get back to doing what we do on that side of the ball.

I was so tempted to. But here's the deal. If Cleveland, Davis or Cole go down, who do you want going in? Dakota Dozier or Dru Samia? And as bad as Dozier was, he wasn't as bad as Samia. Also, going back to Dozier's days as a Jet, his grades on the right side were in the 70s.  Hey, I'm just glad we're talking about depth this time...and not starters.

To your point, I’d prefer someone not currently on the team’s roster, actually…

2 underdogs that I think can nake the 53 man roster as a back up.

Blake Brandel -

Kenny Willekes

When I saw that Brandel was getting some second string snaps at C, I thought maybe we have another Matt Birk situation brewing.

Willekes will be an interesting watch. I think we've seen the last of Holmes. All Vowels™ is already gone, and Brailford didn't impress. Take those three guys and replace them with Jones, Robinson, and Willekes. Those are some long athletes.

What about DJ? Don't you Wonnum?

At this point, if Brandel is an IOL he might stand a better chance of making the roster than Dozier and Samia, considering his ability to play all 5 positions.

Oh, that goes without saying! I was commenting on the bottom of the rotation.

Willekes pad level is freakishly low.

You think Dantzler holds off Breeland?  I think the CBs are going to be in heavy rotation so it may not matter.

Also, I think Twyman makes the squad over Lynch.

I think Dantzler is one of the best young corners in the league, so yeah, but like you say, it's not going to matter much considering how many times we're in nickel and dime.

People are forgetting about Lynch, but he was a 4th rounder and maybe the player on the team best suited for 3T. Didn't have a great first year, but we know what this team thinks about rookies (in his first TWO seasons, Danielle Hunter started ONE game). Twyman was a 6th rounder. Vikings can easier sneak him on the PS. The gunshot wounds make that even more likely.

Don't know much about Lynch, so I will defer to your knowledge there.  Dantzler did pretty well after so OJT last year.  But I don't just mean nickel and dime, I think our outside CBs are going to be rotating this year.  Read something about this being the plan so they are fresh and keeps the offense a bit off balance.
