I thought that ship had sailed based on his tweet about how the offers he gets do not reflect his value to the team.  Good pick up for the Vikings.

So if we go 4 deep on starters for drive to drive rotations, who gets what spot?  PP and Dantzler outside and Mac in slot.  Then a hockey like line change and we have Breeland outside, Hand? and ?

Source said Vikings agreed with Bashaud Breeland on a one year deal worth a maximum of $4 million. Source said he expects to compete for a starting outside cornerback job.

Looks like he served a 4 game suspension last season and then was later arrested. I can’’t find anything about him serving a second suspension so I wonder if that might still happen to start this season? Not sure.

For a while there the Vikings didn’t sign any guys with off-field concerns but they’ve seemingly walked that back in recent years.

This was a tough decision when heart was sold on kc and the brotherhood that I’ve made over the last two years when one door close another always open it’s been my life story but I will always love the Kansas City chiefs organization. I wanna thank the Hunt family, Coach Reid

Never can have too many good CB's in today's NFL. Good pickup. Zim is smiling today.

I see him as depth rather than immediate starter.   Danzler and P2 will be the starting CBs in base and I think Mac will get 1st shot at slot but nothing is guaranteed. I see Breeland as 1st fill in at either outside CB, but anything could happen, it is a long offseason and all these guys will be playing for their next contract.  Competition brings out the best in athletes.

What we know for sure is it is a long season and it just got longer, CB depth has shown to be an issue to many teams and Viking fans don't have to go back far to know it is a huge issue if your back-ups are not competative.

Now the question to me is will Boyd be able to hang on again, Hand looks like he has passed Boyd on the depth chart and clearly has a future on the team with his cheap contract.

Mac, Breeland, even P2 are all playing for their 22 contract as they are on 1 year deals.

I think this signing is underappreciated,  I like Dantzlers rookie campaign,   but I dont think his starting spot is etched in stone,  if Breeland can get up to speed quickly with Zims. D he should challenge Dantzler for a DB1 role opposite of P2.

The best thing is that we now have three starting quality outside corners in P2, Dantzler and Breeland. The slots run two-deep as well with Mack and Hand.

If Gladney ends up making it back at some point this season, this backfield will be stacked. But I'm guessing by the Breeland signing they're not counting on it.

The more I see of  what the Vikings Organization has done this off season with the  draft and free agents, the more optimistic I am of a return to the playoffs...SKOL VIKES!!

Gladney should never see daylight again let alone an nfl field.
