Not to be a stick in the mud, but, am I the only one who thinks the team needs to retire #93?? I know Kevin Williams wore it well, too, but that is always going to be John Randle’s number for me and I wish they’d retire it.

I think with the new jersey number rule, we might see more numbers retired.

How #84 got issued is beyond comprehension.

I'd rather they celebrate the person/player than the number...John Randle and Kevin Williams were great at both.

I'm not a big 'retire the number' guy.

They don't retire numbers anymore.  They put them in the ring of honor, but they can still be used by others.  And I agree, with our past players, there wouldn't be any 80-90s left.  80,81,83,84,88,93... and if you retire 93,81, who is it for?

My thought exactly. A lot to live up to wearing #93. Should be retired

On Jones, super excited to see him. I can't wait to see all these young defensive lineman get to work. Jones, Wonnum, Robinson, Twyman, Lynch, and Willekes. There is going to be major competition this year and a complete change from what we saw last season. Add in two new talented tackles and a return of the best DE in football....Getty up!

First time he's been upright since Senior Bowl week.

Jones is a big kid and athletically talented, but the skinny on him is he doesn't have enough 'dog' in him.

Jones (at 90) is the highest the Vikings have taken a DE in the draft since Danielle Hunter (88).

Jones was considered by many to be a 1st rounder early in the draft season. A bad Senior Bowl practice week and an injury at his pro day tanked his value. HERE'S a mock from the fall with Jones going to the Dolphins at 14 overall. Good value in the late 3rd.

Twyman and Davis were also projected to go in first round in that mock.  No Darrisaw.

Ha, yeah, didn't see that. Vikings have drafted a lot of players recently who were projected to be 1st rounders early on in the process, but fell due to injuries or metrics. Not saying that's good or bad, but it is interesting. Jones, Davis, Twyman, Cleveland, Dantzler.

Janarius Robinson is the guy that Ben Leber thinks is going to be a stud for Minnesota.
