Well, this presumes that the Jets didn't want other teams to think the Jets wanted Light. Perhaps, the Jets didn't care if Light told other teams they were on the phone with him because the Jets wanted other teams to think he was their upcoming choice. Just sayin' -- during draft time anything could be a bluff.
Additionally, maybe it was Light bluffing to entice the Patriots to move up a couple spots -- it does amount to more money -- a couple hundred thousand guaranteed as I calculate it. It would be a smart bluff by Light.
