Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reports the Falcons have had "exploratory talks" with teams interested in acquiring Atlanta's No. 4 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. It's not all that surprising, considering the Falcons' first rounder is the last chance for a team outside the top-10 to move into range for one of the draft's top quarterbacks. Breer said his "guess has been that the Falcons will stick at No. 4 and take a quarterback, because I don’t think they want to count on picking that high again and this happens to be a really strong year at the position." A rookie would likely sit in 2021 while Matt Ryan, 36 in May, enters the stretch run of his Falcons career. With Deshaun Watson in legal limbo and seemingly un-tradable, watch for a QB-desperate team like the Broncos, Patriots, or Panthers to mortgage the proverbial farm to acquire Atlanta's pick. Moving outside the top half of the draft would of course mean the Falcons won't land Kyle Pitts.  RELATED:

Tepper has such a hard on for a QB, would not surprise me if they try to get to the 4 even though they'll pay an additional premium to trade within the division.

That's a tantalizing spot no doubt...

Would be really tough to pass on Pittt or a top 4 qb. Especially with Matty ice @ 36.

With teams locked into the first three overall picks, the Atlanta Falcons now have received trade calls from multiple teams and “are open to moving” out of the No. 4 spot, per source.

The consensus seems to be Jones at #3. So, at #4 you chose between Fields and Lance. They are going to get a King's randsome for the pick.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports multiple NFL teams have contacted the Falcons about acquiring the No. 4 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and that the team is "open" to moving out of the fourth spot. Meanwhile, ESPN's Chris Mortensen said Tuesday that Atlanta general manager Terry Fontenot and head coach Arthur Smith are split on using the fourth overall pick to draft a QB of the future -- presumably North Dakota State's Trey Lance. Quarterback-desperate teams like the Broncos, Patriots, Football Team, and the Lions should be banging down the Falcons' door in the weeks leading up to the draft. Acquiring the No. 4 pick is the last chance teams have to get one of the top QBs in this year's class. Of course, Atlanta could always keep the pick and supercharge their offense with phenom tight end Kyle Pitts.  RELATED:
