Welcome Back Mackensie Alexander
The #Vikings with another DB move. https://t.co/w32lz4hd6f

Wow...really thought the Alexander "offer on the table" thing was a signal to the P2 camp to get him to sign. Guess not.
So our dime package is now P2, Dantzler, Gladney, MackA...that's damn solid. Bad news is that it's probably a sign they don't expect Hughes back.
I was pretty happy with that announcement. Maybe I'm a bit biased because I loved the story of his upbringing, from picking oranges with his family (even through college) to making it to the NFL. But I really thought he grew into a solid player with the Vikings and hated to see him leave.
I'm glad he's back. And yes, that's a pretty solid list.
Oh... and it's vet min
It's a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum (along with a signing bonus) for Alexander, according to league sources. https://t.co/TWV4dEtiHI

P2, Dantzler, Gladney, MackA, Hand and maybe Hughes (I agree this is a sign he's done due to injury).
-Vikes will probably draft a CB.
PP seems like a lock to start .
That leaves the other 6? players competing for 3 spots #2CB, #3Nickle and #4 Dime.
IMHO the competition this offseason is a very good thing.
His back story certainly gives some context for his reaction when his father got left behind last year. He is a tough no nonsense dude, with some real family values, glad to have him back.
So, all the prior talk of Zim driving Alexander off...

This makes me happy. I really like Mack and was bummed when he left. He really was playing great before he left in FA. Anybody know what his contract looks like? im hoping it’s more than a 1 year deal.
Question: What does this mean for Gladney? Peterson and Dantzler on the outside, Mack at nickel. I guess now I’m just wondering about the reason for signing Peterson.
He is an excellent slot corner. I didn't think he would come back. Along with some of the other free agent moves, this move gives me hope. If Hunter is back, these Vikings may have a chance to do well.
Gladney and Danztler outside, Mack slot, PP at Safety, Hand dime, Hughes buffing floors on the graveyard shift at WalMart.
I always liked Alexander, so I am glad to see him back on the roster. Dantzler, Gladney, Peterson, and Alexander is a nice group of corners, but I wonder how they'll use them all? Do they get creative and try to use one of them as at least a part time safety or should we just be happy to have some experience and depth at corner?

Sweet! I really like Mac in the slot. Our secondary is going to be borderline top notch with the addition of some pass rush! (I just saw this thread/signing so I am a little late to the party)
I am happy for him. His story is relatable to my mom as an immigrant. It was so scary hearing about Mackensie's dad going missing for 3 days. I'm glad to hear he was found and he is ok. I don't blame Mackensie at all for his response. I can't even imagine how agonizing that would have been for Mackensie and his family.

I had watched his combine interviews and was hoping we’d draft him. Then when we did I was pretty excited. So glad he’s coming back!

If Hughes is healthy then he should have a shot to stick.· 10mChris TomassonIt remains to be seen what possibly could happen with #Vikings CB Mike Hughes' roster status after signing of CB Mackensie Alexander. Regardless, I was told today Hughes is fully healthy. He's recovered after spending final 10 weeks of 2020 on injured reserve due to neck injury.
