1 year, $5.5 base, $2 million incentive max $7.5 million. Would be interested to know what Vikings offered since he made $8 million last year.

I'm just not a fan of the guy. Had his best season last year, but otherwise he's been average to below. If he were great, Detroit and Minnesota both wouldn't have let him go. And he wouldn't have taken the pay cut last year. 

Time to do better. Maybe the Draft will bring that new starting LT.

I'd be very surprised if the Vikings offered less than that

I would guess it came down to guaranteed money.  If the Vikings intend on going OL early ( and they damn well better)  they may have been reluctant to make much of a guarantee to Reiff,   while the Bungles have their prized young QB,  coming off injury already,  are much more inclined to commit to the cash.

I would have taken Reiff back at that CAP number in a heartbeat.
