When is it again that those season ticket payments are due?

I had my single game tix cancelled and refunded last year. Was a major bummer but understandable. Hoping to get to a game for real this year. Fingers crossed.

They were due last week.

I'm out of state and somehow managed to get the first of two shots this morning ahead of schedule. I'll be heading back to Minnesota in the next few weeks and I will feel so much better being 97% covered against Covid on the way back. After getting the shot, I allowed myself to dream a little about returning to international travel and actually being in the stadium for games this year. I'm so ready.

I'm ready too...

Vikings have had season tix holder $$ for a while now. I am not expecting a refund this year like 2020.

If we dont F it up as a population? This is just the beginning.

I think the next mos with Spring Break etc will really set the country on the right path (or not).

I'm just saying that imo, a lot of the success of getting out of the Pandemic (sooner than later) rests with the peoplz...

For example, I was reading where FL Gov is concerned about too many spring breakers heading down there etc. I don't want to drag this into political mud-slinging, I'm too worn out for that  ;)

Let's just say, I'm one dose in and planning on masking up until 2022. I have less faith in people than you.

With you on the masking, I have been told by quite a few, it's a good look on me.

The first one wasn't bad, other than soreness for a couple days.

Ya know what's interesting about mask wearing? I'm a two colds a year kinda guy. Never fails, been doing this for 56 years. Just always get at least two colds every year. I can't remember my last cold, but I know I haven't had one since March 13th, 2020.

It will be interesting to watch. Some places are ending mandates and others are not. It is still important to wear masks even after being vaccinated. I got my first dose at work and my second one is coming up. I don't think the Florida governor is concerned about too much actually. We'll have to wait and see what happens. Definitely keep watching the research and data.

I've had very similar thoughts as "regular" cold/flu season has progressed this year. I'm just superstitious, so never typed it or talked about it lol!

What Happened to Flu Season?

Feb, 25, 2021 -- Do you know anyone who’s had the flu this year? Probably not.
The U.S. is seeing historically low levels of influenza this season, which started in September 2020.
This time last year, the national map of flu activity published by the CDC showed so many active cases that some states had burned right through red to a dark purple for “very high” activity. This year, the map is a calm green with hardly a blip on the public health radar. Public health labs across the U.S. reported a grand total of 3 cases of flu in the U.S. last week, out of nearly 16,000 samples tested. Clinical laboratories, which tested nearly 25,000 samples, found just 14 flu cases.
So far this season, labs reporting to the CDC had just 1,585 samples test positive for flu of any kind. Compare that to last year over the same period, when there were more than 183,000 positive samples. Those numbers are making infectious disease specialists do double takes.
“Nobody has seen a flu season this low, ever. And some of us have some gray hair,” says William Schaffner, MD, an infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Vanderbilt is part of a network of hospitals that are actively looking for flu cases among their patients. They can’t find any.
So far this year, only one child has died of the flu. Last year, that number was 195.
“It's absolutely incredible to have a complete nonevent flu season,” says Isaac Bogoch, MD, an infectious disease specialist at the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute in Canada.

My wife is and always has been BIG into washing your hands. I really starting listening to her more in that regard about 5-6 years ago. Haven't had a cold in that time. I haven't had the flu in maybe 25 plus years. In fact, I think some people mistake food poisoning for having the flu....I'll take the flu any day over 24 hours of intense food poisoning.

Food poisoning is awful...

I will never eat KFC again in this lifetime, or the next.

I have known of several elderly that have refused to go in to get checked out for fear of what they might catch,  1 died as a result of his refusal to go get checked out as once his condition declined to the point of it being beyond his control he was to far degraded to be saved.  Both of my parents have tested positive for the flu this year, despite staying home and quarantining for the most part since last spring.

EDIT:  oh and they both had their flu shots.... so much for that effort.
