Trey Lance Preps For His Pro Day
I really want this guy... his game reminds me a lot of Dak Prescott (who I drafted in the inaugural Vikefans mock draft in the 2nd round for the Broncos?).

Some analyst comped him to Steve McNair and that's all I can see now.
Trey Lance can do it on the ground or through the air.

He would really get me excited about the vikings again. What more reason do you need Spelly?
I get the desire for him but his accuracy is not great.
NDSU QB Lance focus of Friday pro day sked … The attention of much of the NFL turns to Fargo, North Dakota tomorrow where North Dakota State QB Trey Lance will throw during the Bisons’ pro day. As we have noted in the past, often who attends a particular pro day can be as revealing as how the player performs. And a star-studded cast of NFL execs whose teams have high picks is currently in Fargo in anticipation of tomorrow’s Bison workout. Indeed, according to senior NFL reporter Albert Breer among those expected to be in attendance include NY Jets’ G.M. Joe Douglas, Atlanta G.M. Terry Fontenot and coach Arthur Smith; Detroit G.M. Brad Holmes and coach Dan Campbell; Carolina G.M. Scott Fitterer and coach Matt Rhule; and Washington G.M. Martin Mayhew.
For the record, the Jets have the 2nd pick overall this year, while Atlanta picks 4th, Detroit 7th and Carolina 8th suggesting that in general the league has a pretty good grade on Lance as teams generally don’t send senior execs, especially in the middle of a pandemic, to see players they don’t already have highly rated. Of course, those who are not senior NFL execs can watch along as the NFL Network plans to provide live coverage of both the North Dakota State and Oklahoma pro days tomorrow beginning at Noon ET.

Wow.
Representation says his film will due to display speed and athletic ability.

It's why Lamar Jackson would not run at the combine. But of course you are right, no QB with a thousand yard rushing season and limited experience and people questioning his accuracy would ever do something to emphasize he only wishes to play QB, and you're ticked at me and not willing to think I have set aside the disagreements on other threads to ask a fair question.Hey Barr, I think the sky is blue. Go ahead and show I'm wrong and impress all your buddies on this board.
You do an excellent job yourself. Partly cloudy here in Charlotte, so again you're wrong.
Representing the #Vikings at North Dakota State Pro Day this morning: GM Rick Spielman, OC Klint Kubiak, and an area scout. @DomIzzoWDAY on the scene.

If the kid makes it 14# I do not know how you pass him up. He's got too much ability and the local roots would be huge. With a potential expensive OL in the next coming years, you need a cheap but effective QB.
tough decision if he is sitting on the board 14

Honestly, I don't think he gets passed #8. Tepper has a raging hard on to get a QB.

5 teams in the top 10 present. CB or DE makes more sense.Lol.
Anyone else just get the feeling like if any of those QB's is going to drop...it's going to be Justin Fields?
Hard to believe after how he performed in the National Championship game

Honestly, if 5 QBs go in the top 8 or 9 picks, NFL GMs are SO stupid. If 2 pan out, they'll be lucky. But the sun rises, we pay taxes and NFL GMs will draft QBs way too high.
