Been watching a lot of this Penn State edge rusher lately. Ran a 4.3 forty at 6-5, 256--hand and laser.

6-5-256....Danielle Hunter was 6-5, 252. Now we just have to figure out why he didn't get any sacks last year. Not that this is a deal breaker. Hunter had fewer sacks at LSU (comparing full tenure). Reading the below, this sounds like someone Andre Patterson would like very much...

In Kiper’s latest mock draft, which was published Feb. 25, the longtime analyst has the New Orleans Saints drafting Oweh at the end of the first round with the No. 28 overall pick.

In three seasons at Penn State, Oweh recorded 13.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks. Even though he did not reach the quarterback last season, the former four-star recruit had 38 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss in the shortened season. In a set rankings from early February, Kiper ranked Oweh as the No. 7 outside linebacker in the draft class.
“Yes, I’m projecting an edge rusher in Round 1 who had zero sacks last season,” Kiper wrote in his analysis. “But turn on the tape. He pressured quarterbacks even if he didn’t close on them. And this is all about what I’m hearing Oweh is going to do at his pro day on March 25. There is a lot of buzz that he’s going to run a 4.4 40-yard dash at 255 pounds and wow coaches and scouts with his testing numbers. He is an extraordinary athlete with room to grow into a great player.”

Have I mentioned how much I miss the Combine?

Right there with ya

On Oweh, yeah very much a raw lump of athletic clay type of guy. I was watching an interview with Penn State coach James Franklin who eluded to his athleticism and the fact that his best football is ahead of him still. I just have a hard time taking a guy in the first round with no sacks, even in a five game season. For someone with that kind of freaky athleticism you'd think he would have found his way home even a couple times.

Also very good time for Micah Parsons

PFF best graded run defender for PSU.

Hmmmmmmm, sounds familiar.

Says he'll run 4.35 at Happy Valley.

I've watched quite a bit on all of the pass rushers at this point. Oweh is my favorite ball of clay, even over Rousseau. If you put him with Andre Patterson and he can develop a pass rushing plan he's going to be a problem. I have him as my 4th ranked 43 EDGE player

I can guess the first two, who is your third guy?

Remember this is specific to a 4-3 but:

1. Jaelan Phillips (assuming his healthy checks out)
2. Azeez Ojulari
3. Kwity Paye
4. Jayson Oweh
5. Greg Rousseau

Interesting. I don't consider Ojulari a 4-3 end. Not at 6-3 and 240. But, neither was Robert Mathis, so.

Very interesting. I also think Ojulari seems better suited as a 3-4 OLB due to his size.  I'm just not a Kwity Paye fan. Oweh is intriguing, but for all his physical talent...there's just no production. Out of curiosity, why do you have Rousseau behind those guys?

No Tryon? I'd have Phillips #1 too if it weren't for his medical and some other character things. But Paye would be in there, along with Tryon, then Rousseau.
